For the last 5 months I've been looking for a reliable illustrator in order to finish a book of poetry. The book is all laid out, the concept is complete. What remains are about 20 illustrations. Someone is needed who is reliable, talented, and who would be willing to do the work for signed copies and full book credits. (This is not a money making venture...only 200 copies of this book will be made.) This book will be a limited edition and I will be arranging for the printing and binding myself, in order to maintain complete control over the quality. This is not meant to be a mass produced book, but a keepsake for those that manage to secure a copy.

Please, if you or anyone you know would be willing to help me complete this project, I would be extremely obliged and very grateful.

If you are capable of drawing illustrations of this quality:

Please contact me as soon as possible at dafremen@hotmail.com.

If possible send an example of your work.

Thank you so much for your time folks, it's been a pleasure to be a part of the Lindaland community and I hope you'll forgive any imposition. This is just very important to me.

One drop in an endless ocean of lights,

I can't, but I'm sure, too, that someone here can and will. You're such an extremely talented and wonderful fellow, I wish you all the best of luck in this and in everything.

Daf, I asked about the lexi because this jumped out at me just from reading the title.

That's very intriguing juni...

There is a piece in the Black Pages called What The Hands of Man Hath Wrought

You can read that story here:
http://revealments.tk

And I might have mentioned this before...but I've had my online name since I was 9 years old. I have always been Roger The Fremen. When I got onto the internet back in 96, the name became Roger Dafremen.

ROGER DAFREMEN = FREEDOM RANGER
ROGER DAFREMEN = RAGER FROM EDEN

(insert twilight zone tune here...)

Hi daf..
this project of yours sounds intruiguing. I have many years of schooling in visual arts and have recently found my passion for it restored after delving into watercoloring abit.
I suppose this caught my eye because lately I've been toying with the idea of illustration.
Alas, I don't have any of my work scanned onto digital format at this time, otherwise I'd love to share with you.
What sorts of illustrations are you looking for? Landscapes, figures, abstract, a combination of sorts?

Dafremen.....
For years, I identified myself as an artist, it is definately my passion. I will see what I have, and scan it into the computer for you, as I feel a deep movement and have been feeling it recently... like a tide gently nudging me toward identifying myself this way again. To feel truly me, and truly creative. When I saw your post, I said "aha!" I have recently taken up sculpture as well, and funny enough, my friend phoned me tonight asking if I would colaborate with him on a visual design project. When you send something to the universe, it really comes back. I would love to help you. I will see what I can do, and what I can email you, and we'll see if my visions fit with your visions. As I feel that you are a visionary and a kind person, and that alone warms my heart to your project.

Harpyr...Pixie I really appreciate the offer. Please email me and I'll send youthe details. This project has to be put in high gear..so it'll really depend upon your scheduling availablitity. I had two different illustrators flake out on me and it was very frustrating...I promised the missus that I'd have this book ready by the end of the year, and now I'm not sure when it'll be done. Thanks so much, I look for ward to hearing from you!

Love lights and life!

Still waiting to hear from either of you if you're still interested in this project. Thanks again for the offers, and I'll completely understand if you've had a change of heart.

As for the words of encouragement, thanks also to all of you, you have no idea how much your support means to me. It helps one keep going some days.

Looking for an illustrator still at this point.

Please, excuse the repetition.

Love and light to you all,

daf

Hi daf,
Sorry I haven't written.. I got to thinking that perhaps I wouldn't be able to create 20 illustrations in any reasonalbly efficient time frame. I have this tendancy to be a horrid perfectionist which means that it can take me a long time to finish a single work.
I was thinking though...what if you had multiple illustrators? It might be interesting to have a variety of artistic styles in your book...every artist does 3 or 4 works maybe? I dunno..just a thought.

Harpi,

I'm looking for a perfectionist, and these pieces would be extremely simplistic in style and content, except for maybe a few. When I say extremely simplistic, I mean, SUPER simplistic, but they must be PERFECT.

Sounds like if you're willing to give it a try, we might be able to do a very beautiful book together. Please email me.

The address is dafremen@hotmail.com

Love,

daf

P.S. purplezen, I do so appreciate your generous offer. If your sister would be willing to draw some things specifically for this book, the concept is pretty much laid out, it's waiting for someone to bring it to life.

I sent you an email with some examples of what I do, dafreman

Most of my work is pretty detailed but I can do simple as well!

Ms. Wych...I think we might make a very good team if you're willing to give it a go.

Your work is very, very good and I think you could do the sort of thing that this book requires, quite well.

Purplezen, thank you so much for your very kind offer. If I will be emailing your sister soon.

Everyone,

Again thank you very much for taking the time to help a wayward bard find someone with whom to forge this dream. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!
