HELP ~ It has taken me thirty-something years (a'hem) to realize (with my real eyes) that I should have gone to school right after high school to do something with animals. I know we should choose a career that we LOVE and therefore, since I LOVE animals, I should have gone to school for it THEN ~ if only I KNEW THEN what I KNOW NOW
Anyhow, I am so sick of office politics, working with non-spiritual people, mean customers, difficult co-workers. The whole thing. I've had some bad luck in my job lately.
I've never been crazy about *any* of my jobs. I've always felt like a slave and can't wait for the clock to strike 5 p.m.
Now what do I do? I want to be able to love my job ~ DO SOMETHING I LOVE but I am stuck and don't know what to do. How do I get a job with animals? I can't be a Vet or don't want to be a Vet Tech because I can't operate.
I need to make enough $$ to support myself and make car payment, insurance payment, I need health benefits, etc.
There's more to it than what you see here, just trying to get some ideas. Thanks.

The first step is recognizing what you love, where your passion lies. Then you send it out to the universe....... Good for you to get over the fear of the unknown and embrace the future with a can-do attitude! That's far more than most of the people you probably work with do......

What about a pet sitting service? firestar does that, and she's in California too (I think????)You wouldn't have to put up with any human politics at all, just puppy and kitty politics (or iguana politics or whatever the case may be).

Pet sitting and pet walking is good advice. Also pet grooming. It is such a joy to do this and the money is good. Call around to groomers and see if they can use an apprentice. Hands on is the only way to go. If you enjoy it, are good at the details and with the four leggeds, you`re on your way to a new career in under one year!

It is never too late to go back to school if you should decide that you want to do that. I got one university degree after high school, then decided 20 years later that I wanted more schooling. I went back, got more degrees, and had one of the best times of my life. As others have said...keep an open mind and follow your heart!

Thanks everyone for your replies. I can't groom or walk all day because I can't stand all day. I have fibromyalgia in my legs and feet. (they get sore easily)
The pet sitting service sounds fun but I live at my mother's house now and she wouldn't let me.
I am always hopeful and positive and know that like you said, keep putting it out to the Universe.
