Do we already have a string on this? Hmm? Maybe? No? Really? Then it's up to me, I suppose...

DID YOU SEE IT???
DID YOU LIKE IT???
TELL US ABOUT IT!!!

For myself, I have about a gazillion quibbles and problems and objections. Obviously I have to see it again to really judge; the first time I am always so busy noticing what they changed or left out that I can't enjoy it. I almost cried when the eagles showed up.
I've never been a big Orlando Bloom fan, but I have to admit he looked pretty good in his coronation outfit. But you know who I think are really sexy? Sauron's Uruk-hai! (just kidding )

It's rather too bad about everything they cut. There are so many great moments in RotK, and only a few of them made it in.

QOS what the hay are ya talking anout? who`s Orlando Bloom? Especially, who is Sauron's Uruk-hai?

Eagles? The flying kind or the beloved band?

Guess I`d better start watching the news, reading Mad magazine or just taking some time to get 'cool'

juniperb, you are sooo cool!
He's talking about the latest Lord of the Rings movie, "The Return of the King."

Loved it loved it loved it. I laughed, I cringed, I cried. More of an ensemble piece than any of the others, it still fleshed out all of its characters.

An amazing feat for Peter Jackson, to stay true to such complicated, complex books and turn them into three wonderful films. Kudos to him for making the epic of the century, it will be a long long time, I think, till we see its equal.

Oh, and loved that the let little Sam shine so brightly in this final film.

Viggo is still, to me, the sexiest man in the trilogy. But hey, any movie starring loads of strong men with long hair, a noble cause and reallllly big... swords is a winner in my book.

We saw it Friday and are going again today. While I also noticed some things missing, I wouldn't be surprised if they were added back in when the DVD comes out.

All in all, it was magnificent. I was just swept away! The best of the LOTR Trilogy, IMHO. The scenery alone was breathtaking...add to that the music, the special effects, the deepening of the characters, the INTENSITY...and you've got one superb film!

And Aragorn...this is for you.

juni- who are the Eagles?

Twin Lady- I really hope they add the Mouth of Sauron and Gandalf's confrontation with the Witch King on the DVD.
I might have to get the extended version of this one.

It was great. We had to drive an hour through winding mountain roads covered with snow to get to a town with a theatre. Well worth it. QoS...I have both the other extended DVD's. If you are a Tolkien fan, you should check them out.

I think someone was kidding about not knowing "The Eagles"... ( PLease tell me you are kidding!)

Orlando Bloom? Pirates of the Carribean? The Lord of the Rings sexy elf?
*bites lip, stops drool from collecting....crosses her legs...mumbles something about nice musculature and jawline...and those sweet bow lips and deep sensual eyes and wants to go find her place in Hollywood to explore this crush*
Yeah, I thought Orlando Bloom was great!

5{y, Bloom isn't quite as appealing with dark hair. He just makes such a nice blonde elf.

Z and juni- of course I've heard of the Eagles, but I don't know their music or their significance. Fill me in? (yes juni, these are flying eagles )

QOS, no significance at all if you will. This is what happens when an Aqua. can`t deciper a post and makes sense of it the best they can.

You said "Eagles" ; ok, I know who Glen Fry, Joe Walsh and Don Henely are YaY the Eagles band.

Next clue: Sauron's Uruk-hai. Hmmm he must be the fella is the 'Desperado' tune. So far so good. Now this Orlando Bloom, tough one. So it`s the tune 'New Kid In Town' or 'Life in the Fast Lane.

Now RotK was the bugger. So, it sounded to me like 'After the Thrill is gone :

This is what happens when one don`t know what the hay is being said & adds her cents worth any how.

Merry Christmas Sheeba
