Anyone check out the new kids show on PBS yet? The Boohbahs? Not really sure what to think yet- but I do think they are really cool! http://www.boohbah.com/
I'd be interested to hear what you guys think about them.

forgot to add- this is from their website-
"The Boohbahs represent the imaginative power and light which allows children to control the screen action by the use of the magic word “Boohbah”, and send presents into an imaginary Storyworld for the Storypeople - Grandmamma, Grandpappa, Mrs Lady, Mr Man, Brother and Sister, Auntie and Little Dog Fido to play with and make a story in partnership with them. We hear the children intervening in the screen action by the sound of their blowing and their use of the word “Boohbah”. This motivates the action and moves the story along. Only Little Dog Fido is not wholly in their control! Children are totally engaged and have a lot of fun guessing which Storyperson will appear and what will happen next."

OMIGOD!!! How funny that this thread should catch my attention. My daughter found them today, just as we were trying to get out the door, and let me tell you, she was GLUED to the screen.
My reaction was.......
WTF are these foreskin-looking psychedelic blobs doing on a kids show?!
She got mad at me, when I insisted we have to go. She loved them!!!! She is three by the way. Wierd, but I was distracted. Maybe in the right frame of mind, I will find the value in it, but then again, anything that grabs her attention so avidly knows what it's doing...a three year old's attention span isn't the longest on record.

WOW..I am behind the times..LOL..then again my cats really don't express much of anything concerning their TV preferences..LOL>.

BUT...last summer while my brother and his family was out I learned about...the BOOHBAHS... My brother was telling my little Scorp nephew a story..

In the story he talked about a little prince named Lancelot that was lost in the forest. He came upon the Boohbahs (My bro knew the names..but I can't remember). Anyway, my nephews eyes lit right up..and with that weird little scorp daze (which my father says is IDENTICAL to my little zone out stare- must be Pluto rising).. he said "Ahhhhh...boooooooobahs...."

I thought my brother was making it up..but LO and BEHOLD..on a trip to Walmart Mr. Taurus and I came upon a WHOLE bin of ....BOOHBAHS- they sing they dance..they are cute little gum droppy things..LOL..

I need to get one for him for Christmas..

LOL

OMG Boobahs scare me :'-( HAHA! The show looks like a super-strong acid trip to me, which makes me laugh. My mom seems to really like them, but I can't get over how much they freak me out. Same with the Teletubbies...that creator, who does both of those...I dunno sometimes haha.
