Yippee!!!!! We are going to Colorado.... I am so freaking excited beyond belief. I get to see my Best Friend Tara ( ), who I called on the phone today to give her the good news, and also get to see that special "Gemini Guy" that is close to my heart, even when he perplexes and intrigues me to distraction. We leave on Friday evening! I am counting the hours, literally. If anyone has any astrological advice they could offer for February 20th-March 1st, let me know. Just wanted to share my exciting news!------------------ -K "Most people love with restraint As if they were someday to hate We hated gently, carefully As if we were someday to love"-Venus Trines at Midnight IP: Logged |

We're looking for any advice people can give on where to live. (Which town.) We're looking at renting a 2 or 3 bedroom house for somewhere between 500 and 700 bucks a month. Swap meet or flea markets nearby would be good. I large city nearby would be good otherwise. Any suggestions? Does anyone know how Greeley or Loveland are? Thanks in advance. Love, daf IP: Logged |

Have a great time, VAA. Keep me posted on the Tony happenings.Daf...I lived in Colorado a while back. Try Del Norte, South Fork, or Creede. They usually have wonderful places to rent for very little cash. Also Lake City. Good luck. I left a message for you on the Proof of God thread. IP: Logged |

Daf.......I lived in Colorado Springs for 5 years. Its a middle to large city, but whats best about it is Old Colorado City or Manitou Springs.......those are the older parts of the original settlement. Rents can be high in the city because of the constant influx of new arrivals, and the fact that there are 4 different military bases in the area. Rents are better in OCC or MS. I didn't like Canyon City or Pueblo. Creepy vibes. The economy is terrible in these areas. CoSpr has a fairly healthy job market, but then again I don't know what you do for a living. The weather is great on the Front Slope. Lots of variety in people. There is a "conservative" feel to the area, based on the presence of military and the Christian Coalition bastion. But there is still a "live and let live" attitude that prevails. I had friends who lived in Leadville (very very high in the mountains) and Frisco, as well as Boulder. Boulder is a very free spirited place (major college town, and its actual name is "The Peoples Republic of Boulder") but yes, its great, and yes, its expensive. I don't know if any of this helps. Over all, Colorado is a very enjoyable place, and of course, its all what you make it. If you have questions, or if I can help at all, feel free to ask....... MK IP: Logged |

I'm here, and it's all going awesome! Love spending time with such special people to me. Even with a few major blow-ups, things have smoothed out and deepened for the good. Thanks for the well-wishes ------------------ -K "Most people love with restraint As if they were someday to hate We hated gently, carefully As if we were someday to love"-Venus Trines at Midnight IP: Logged |
