For some reason, I couldn't get the picture to copy and paste, but here is what it said:

Walk-In

Origin: Out of mercy you traded places with another soul when that soul wanted to end its Earthly life.

Past Life: Most likely an Angel or the spirit friend of the previous soul.

Mission in Life: To learn about your past and continue the assignment your predecessor was given, whatever it may be.

Doreen Virtue has a book titled "Earth Angels, a Pocket Guide for Incarnated Angels, Elementals, Starpeople, Walk-ins and Wizards".

She has a chapter to answer questions and find out which type you are. The website quizzila had different questions, most of which I couldn't choose an answer.

If you're really interested you might want to get this book.

Hey Juni...this struck such a strong chord, it made all the hair stand up on my neck and arms. I never heard of a Walk-In before, but it certainly addresses lots of feelings I have had throughout my life. I often wondered why I would choose the parents and geographic locality in which I was born. I am a very peace-loving person with a giant soft spot for animals, kids, the elderly, and anyone who seems to need a kind word. I also have ALWAYS had strong psychic experiences. The people I grew up with were angry, violent, vindictive, closed-minded, fundamentalist...well, the list goes on, but you get the picture. Its not that I put a lot of stock in internet quizes, but when I read that, it was like I suddenly knew...I went through the childhood I did so someone else wouldn't have to suffer through it. And I came out of it all with a huge joy in my heart and a driving desire to discover the mysteries and secrets of the universe. I can't say I've found all the answers, but the search has been a real hoot. I don't even need to ask if your Wise One role strikes a chord with you (and I didn't need the test to know you were an old soul...a witch and shaman from many lives). You show it in everything you write. I'd like to check out that book that Nepthys described.

Fishkitten, yes some chords were struck with me as well. My growing up environment ran parallel to yours. Much anger, violence & upheavels.

I have been aware and fascinated by Walk Ins ever since I read about them in Ruth Montgomerys book: Strangers Among Us.I even joined WE International; altho I`m not a walk in. In one of Ruths last books, she said one of the next Presidents will be a Walk In . How wonderful a thought!!

Astounding. I checked out the WE website. I have never encountered any of this information before. Like the one anonymous author, I know it happened for me as a child...two years old to be exact...but I never knew what "it" was until now. Everyone in my family tells about what a "strange kid" I was. One day when I was two, I went in, grabbed the newspaper, spread it out on the table, then started crying silently. My mother and grandmother asked me what was wrong and I told them I didn't think I would forget how to read when I came back this time. By the time a year went by, I could read first grade primers and write my name. I still enjoy newspapers. They always found me a bit odd after that. They used to try to get me to "do that fortune telling trick" with my Tarot cards when I was a teenager until some kind of spooky stuff came true. After that, they wanted nothing else to do with anything they deemed related to "that New Age cr*p". Well, now I have some researching to do on Walk-Ins. You know...Linda and her books always took my mind in so many exciting essoteric directions. Now the people on this site do frequently do the same. We are all blessed to have Lindaland.
