There seems to be a trend here lately in making snide little comments in response to a post that is either emotional or "obviously" opiniated; responding posts that seem to make fun (overt or not) of the poster or thread starter for their "over-sensitivity" or their "left-field" thinking, as if anyone on this site has the right to make fun of anyone for these things (the site being dedicated to someone over-blessed with both of these qualities, and the members having these qualities in spades as well). I am not addressing free speech (which seems to be an issue on this site right now). I am simply speaking of the mean-spiritedness that many people are falling victim to just for expressing who they are. Also, I notice, that perhaps two knowflakes might have words or a disagreement or one person might irritate a bunch of people on one thread and then, afterwords there are grudges being held or sarcatic comments being made on other threads, about the situation - in either a direct or abstract way. It's bringing down the whole vibe, no one want to be ridiculed or just plain disgusted when they come to a place that is supposed to be "warm and cozy, like mewling kittens". ------------------ "Get some Love in your groove, just get hip to Forgive"-Michael Franks IP: Logged |
