Hi guys.

The other day I read an amusing article in the paper about a researcher who claims that nursery rhymes have sexual meanings.

The researcher,Chris Roberts, states that Jack and Jill may have become amorous as they climb the hill, goosey, goosey gander may have been refered to a woman of ill repute;Jack 'losing his crown' can be read as losing his virginity;and get this one-Oranges and lemons is a vulgar wedding song in which the line' here comes the candle to light you to bed'refers to the bride tempting her bridegroom, and'here comes the chopper to chop off your head'alludes to the woman losing her virginity, or maidenhead".

Chris says his research is light hearted, not to be taken seriously. His findings will be published in a book named:Heavy Words Thrown Lightly.

What will be next?

Hey man I was watching the History Channel or something like that and they were talking about Yankee Doodle being based on some historical figure who was in fact "handy" with the girls, a lot of girls. I'm sure some rhymes have some esoteric roots but I'm sure there are sexual ones too. Maybe some meet in the middle - sexual and esoteric.
