I haven't seen you around lately...or maybe you're hiding out in the Astrology forum and I just haven't noticed. Or maybe you're on vacation and I missed the thread...

I miss you! So if you're hiding come back soon...

Pixie can you recommend a really good bottled chemical peel? Avon just announced one, have you heard of any others?

Sorry, Trilly, but since you started a thread for Pixie anyway, I figured this would be a good place to ask for her informed opinion on this...hope you don't mind, well that goes for both of you lovelies.

'Course I don't mind, lioneye.

Hope we hear from her soon.

Oh! BTW, pixel, I used the Max Factor Lipfinity, and it works very well (one of the long-wear lipsticks). Lasted all day in Ireland with just a touch up or two...even did some kissin' with it. The colors aren't perfect, but the trade-off is that you get long-term wear when you need it. I don't use it every day. I generally like...juicier lipsticks.

I used one of those 'all day' lipsticks once, and it totally dried out my lips...I mean, they were so dry that it was a pain because they kept sticking to my teeth when I smiled

But that was probably just a bad brand. Wasn't even mine, it was a freind's so I can't recall what the brand was.

Definitely lioneye, but the Lipfinity comes with a moisture stick that's clear, like a gloss, and you can apply it as often as you like. It won't wipe off the color, and keeps you glossy.

Now where oh where is pixel??

Hi Ladies!!! I am touched that you noticed.
I have been flitting in and out, putting my two coppers here and there, but yes, I have been so busy in the real world.
I have a customer who comes in my store, and we chat. I mentioned that I was an artist. ( I like the term 'artisan' as it doesn't sound as typical, I suppose I could say I like doing and making stuff with my hands and my brain....but it's not as poetic) Her son is opening a store and she has commissioned me to make a stained glass of his logo.. so I have been doing that, as well as working with my friend's business, etching glass, amoung other things. She has also asked me to do an astrologically themed painting. So I have been busy, getting my hands cut and messy and loving it. It's funny, being in the beauty industry, people think I have this 'elegance' about me.. which I think is hilarious, and I always want to hide my hands.. they have..... character. I try to keep them moisturized, but there is only so much I can do to hide the fact that I love working with them. Oh well.
Also, we have Tim Horton's in Canada.. Lioneye, you know, although I don't think they are as popular where you are .. anyway, they have a 'roll up the rim' contest thing, and Yesterday I won a Shwinn Bicycle!!!! I was so excited!!! I won a coffee maker a few years ago too.
I am going through lots of emotional stuff... and I tried posting a message here, but it wouldn't let me.... just about the last few weeks. I wonder if I am banned from actually posting now, or if the server was malfunctioning? ( Scorpio, immediately suspect something negative.. sorry)
Yes, the lipstick works great with a top coat of blistex medicated balm too.. or one of the newer labello shine ones... but make sure it is nice and dry before applying the topcoat, so the colour stays.
Regarding the colours? I know there usually aren't testers, as they are semi permanent, and we'd be walking around all day with striped hands ( I do it anyway .) But grab a cotton swab and you can hygenically test it that way... try the fleshy underside of your thumb... the pad toward your wrist, then hold it up to your face, see how it looks... don't settle, there will be the right colour if you look.. or maybe the right-now colour.. whateva'.
Oh, Thank you for making my night!!!
to you!!!

oh ,oh, yes!!!.. chemical peels... yes, yes, they've made it so easy, and about time too... try the avon one, it has ten percent glycolic, which is stronger than usual for over the counter ( or book, heehee) and made it easy to use. ( I think that's the highest you can go w/out a prescription/ Dr's appt.) Also, I attended a Neo Strata seminar last week, and they are coming out with a new one ( have come out with, actually) that is user friendly, and comes in two formulations.. also a microdermabrasion kit. ( it is awesome!!!)
I am currently using their 10% glycolic acid cream, and am liking the clarity so far, usually, your skin has to first tolerate a certain percentage, then work your way up, but I went from a 6% night cream, to a 10%, and my skin is responding great. All it does is shed the superficial dead skin cells.. sloughs them off at a quicker rate, so the nice skin underneath turns over and shows. It doesn't kill cells or anything, don't be afraid, though it can be strong at higher percentages. It normalizes skin, no matter what type, and helps it to perform as it did when you were a child with perfect skin... the buildup (lack of clarity)goes away after about one cell turnover cycle, or twenty eight days.... It is a descriminatory exfoliant, as opposed to a mechanical/scrubbing type....selective cleansing.... and clarifying.
I am not sure of U.S availability though... sorry. But Avon.. for sure, try it, it will be worth it... They are forerunners in revolutionary skin care and studies.. are continually improving their products, and frankly, quite innovative... there is room in this industry for ALL forms of beauty targeting!!! ENJOY!!!
Anymore questions about exfoliants/ Glycolic acid? I have tonnes of info, anything specific, and I can post it for you.... just ask.
again!!!!

oh, and I love jucier lipsticks too. Nothing like a gentle tinted lip care stick. I am addicted to moisture on my lips.. they are plump, so I need a good moisturizing one.
A new one by Labello is "care gloss and shine" it has the perfect tint colour and shine, and It will be my summer staple, when lipstick seems too harsh. I love having kissable lips, cuz you never know...... PLus, I talk all day long!!!! ( you may have noticed I run on here quite a bit....)
