Mon Intime
03/22/04 Il me manque tous les moments, mon cher ami
L’homme et le garçon qui s’occupe de mon cœur
J’ai besoin de sentir ses mains et dire à son visage
Je l’aime profondément ; je suis une amie fidèle
J’espère qu’il m’aime aussi,
Comme une meilleure amie, et peut-être plus… ?
Je sais seulement nos rapports sont en devenir
J’aime à croire que nous vieillirions ensemble
C’est stupéfiant comment notre affection, elle est plaisir parfait,
Sentir une connexion naturelle, cordiale avec confiance
Il me contente mon aplomb à ses motivations sincères ------------------

WEll, the point was that with so many who understood French, maybe they could tell me if it made sense in it's original form. I could translate it, but then it'd lose some of it's potency....------------------

No idea what those lines mean. Everything else, I believe I got the gist...and I can't really comment on the literary poignency because I'm not familiar enough with the language to know if this poem is painting the emotional picture that a really good poem can paint...but I sure am impressed, nevertheless! I don't think I even remember enough French to write a peom, nevermind one that actually captures a sentiment!
I could write one about stylos and salles du bain and mundane stuff like that...maybe.   But,good work anyway. I bet you're doing very well in your class.
