Just wrote my first program in VB.NET. I'm so proud of myself! I came a long way from not knowing anything about programming one semester ago! Yuppie!!!

hi gloomy sag,

what program did you write? congrats on learning visual basic (i am guessing it is visual basic, please correct if this is wrong). did you know that sun microsystems and microsoft are partnering up to deliver interoperable systems? rather interesting, and sad at the same time. do you think you will have to learn java too?

cheers,

aphrodite

Well, I wrote a little program that does boring things - calculates average scores , counts the input and shows the best score. Nothing too exciting but it took me a while to do it, and I finally figured the logic behind it. Considering the fact that I have never been too computer literate (nevermind programming literate,) Visual Basic. NET seemed like a big step for me. I've always been afraid that I'm not smart enough to understand math and logic. Well, I'm not afraid anymore!
Aphrodite, I would want to learn Java even if it'n not a requirement for my program.
But I'm going to take it one step at a time
Thank you for asking!
