Thanks for the compliments on my name I'll try to think differently of it! Tahariel, I was the only Claire in school, so I felt like I always stood out and as a pisces, I was pretty bothered by that! But I guess it's not so bad now....IP: Logged |

I could give you clues - but it would be too obvious!!!I like my name, though. All the famous *********s I know of seem to have been feisty, unconventional women... IP: Logged |

Gee there seems to be a confusion about the real meaning of my name. One site says it means-Dedicated to Mars. Another one says-A defender and another site says-Warlike. I rather do like the last one-Warlike.Could some one please tell me the real meaning of MARK? Thanks MD IP: Logged |

Seems to me that 'dedicated to Mars/warlike and defender' all mean the same thing. I guess since Mar(s) is the root word or Mark, it would make sense that it should represent the planet of 'action'. Why don't you draw your own conclusions, whatever feels right to you.....IP: Logged |

I was thinking like that and the best way to describe the meaning would be to say -A WARRIOR.Doesn't that sound quite exciting? MDIP: Logged |

Boy, this place is sure confusing. Who I thought was female is male, and who I thought was male is female. I don't want to say who I thought was what because I don't want to offend anyone.........Anyhow, my real name.........is posted somewhere on Health and Healing when I posted a recipe once! Pida'ua - Means "To Make Glad" I was given that Indian name while working at camp as a counselor a long time ago..because I fell alot and just kept on talking or laughing LOL>..thus making people laugh. My real name is: Shawnee Alicia Shawnee - My mom was born and raised in Kansas - near Shawnee Mission, my father being big on Indians thought that Shawnee sounded alot nicer that Apache (even though I named 3 dogs in a row Apache..1, 2, and 3..LMAO). In the more traditional meaning Shawnee is a derivation of Shawn which traces back to JOHN - "Gods Gift" Alicia in Spanish means "Alice" and in the traditional meaning translates as "Noble" Therefore...I am God's Noble Gift LOLOLOLOL...sorry..got a bit big headed IP: Logged |

wow, thanks for spelling pida'ua like that. I always wondered how to properly pronounce that. It's lovely. I've posted my real name on a few other threads but I'd rather not put it up on one easy to reference- how-to-find-people's-real-name kind of thread. I'll just say it means "crowned one" ------------------ He not busy being born is busy dying :::Bob Dylan IP: Logged |

Pixie, I adore the name Season! And it can be used for a boy or girl. My pretend little sister's (daughter of mom's best friend) name is Season Nicole. Do you call your son Season or Caleb? Also Claire Willow sounds so beautiful and serene.*edited* unnecessary information IP: Logged |
