Hi everybody! I'm back. Sorry for tuning in after almost a month or so. Actually, I got really busy with my Mom's health.

After my Dad's death, I've been very concerned about my Mom's health. My Dad passed away in Sept. 2002. And to tell you truly we still don't know what happened to him. He had this minor chest pain since morning one day and he kept ignoring it. He didn't bother to tell anyone about it. By night the pain slightly increased and he decided to visit the doctor. But before he could reach there, he passed away in the car. One of his friend was driving it and the whole time he kept assuming that my Dad was sleeping. When they reached the hospital, the doctors declared him dead. We still don't know the cause since none of us approved of a post-mortem of the dead body. But however, we assume that he had a heart attack.

After this incident, I've been very concerned about my Mom. I take her for a routine check up every three months. Just last month when I took her for the check up, the reports said that she had developed a stone in her Gall Bladder. The stone was 2-3 cms big. And to top it all she had no symptoms at all. She was perfectly normal. Since my Mom's family (maternal side) have this Cancer thing as heredity, I wasted no time getting the surgery done as soon as possible. She underwent a Laproscopic surgery and the doctors have removed her Gall Bladder. Just last Thursday she came back home. She is still on aliquid diet. But the most important thing is that she's absolutely fine.

I wanted to tell all of you that you look perfect from the outside but you really don't know what's happening inside you. So a routine checkup is a must. Atleast once a year you should get that done not only for yourself but for your entire family. Health is more important than anything else.

Take care.

Thank you for sharing your story pocco and welcome back I hope your mom is on the road to complete wellness!

You`re absolutely right and a yearly check up is a good thing. Many fixable things can be found and prevent problems down the road.

Just a thought but I wouldn`t put a capital C on cancer as I feel it gives the word too much power. Maybe I`m just superstitious but I`m working on downplaying the negatives.

Love and lite to mom and you

Thanks Juni and Trillian.

Juni, the capital C for Cancer was there just because its a proper noun. No negative intentions.

Thanks once again.
