Hi kev! Enjoy the threads.
Are you a Libra?
Interesting that you started by an introductory - "Let's Debate! Anytime!"
Naw...... maybe you're an Aries. More forceful, Libras wouldn't ask for a debate, they'd just do it.
What do you want to debate?
Can't we all just TALK?

lol! actually im a piscean with a gemini ascendant. And the whole debate thing is simple! Chatting is good. Conversations are great. But debate is FANTASTIC! When your debating with someone (on a friendly basis of course), its easier to see what they're passionate about. What they really care about and have an interest in. For instance, i just read that post from ....ohhhh whats his name....DD about how annoyed he was that 'nobody gets the fact that linda didn't die'.

I thought it was very interesting watching the different reactions and how many people capitalised their responses.

Im not an angry person that likes to argue. I'm an enthusiastic person that lies to show their passions and see those of others...

kev, you may have noticed I shook the dust off that debate. You can`t 'debate' with an individual who doesn`t listen to the other side.... We welcome a good debate; just not an degrading arguement.

DD is suspended due to an increasing, um, lets say the need to be abusive.

Lots of interesting things going on here. Look around and jump in!

Ok, Kev...you wanna go? I'll take a round outa ya! Just kidding. Don't worry, we debate plenty around here. Debate really is a fine art, isn't it? So few know how to do it without becoming all emotional, and angry and saying ugly, offensive things....or simply getting their feelings hurt and deciding not to come around anymore. One must not confuse themselves or others with the subject matter. The two are not the same. Agree?

Oh, and like Juni said, debate requires listening to the p.o.v. of others just as much as it requires expressing your own p.o.v.

hehe! Lioneye, I agree wiv u totally! I've been in way too many 'debates' that involved ppl shouting their own ideas across the table and refusing to even consider the possibilities being presented by the others present. That's no way to conduct yourself during an intellectual conversation...

And thanx for all the welcome messages ppl. I've got lots of questions and thoughts to offer around, so please brace your(S)elves and be patient with me!!! lol.

thanx special!! BTW, after a brief consideration, i've realised that the word druids were showing me something with that typo. When in social situations, i do tend to debate from a standpoint other than my own. I believed that this was to flex my mind muscles, as it were, and to build up my debtae techniques, as i find it harder to stand for something that is not what i believe in.

However, that one little typo has shown me that I also use this technique when im not comfortable in a situation and i belief my viewpoint is too radical. In other words, i 'lie' to try and protect myself from teh ridicule of others.

And now that i'm typing this, i realise how foolish it sounds. So thank you word druids and higher-(S)elf for teaching me.

And thank you everybody for providing the environment in which i was able to learn this lesson..

May the Divine shine down upon you...

I agree with you Kev - I tend to do that too. Lots of 'coincidences' have occured with me lately - similar to your typo - that have shown me how to become more of what I want to.

Umm.. like become the person that I really believe in.

I stumbled accross this site yesterday, and have vowed to re read Star Signs and Goooberz again, since I have been so busy lately. Unfortunate since me original growth and beliefs stemmed from Linda when I was a teenager.. and probably the reason why I'm happily busy.

I agree with thanking everything - all the signs around us for lessons and direction,

With love..

Welcome Kev, and thanks for your post in Health and Healing.

You say you're a Piscean with a Gemini Ascendant? I'm a Gemini with a Pisces Ascendant. What is your Moonsign? (Mine is Scorpio).

Special, welcome! What are your Sun/Moon/Rising signs?

Good to have both of you here.
