My whole body feels cruddy, tensed, and generally achey. My total sense of internal balance seems way off, I've been having a dull soreness in the front of my head for a week or so off and on, and I can't ever seem to fall asleep before 1 AM. I am more together mentally than I've been in a while, but everything else is just wrong. I'm sick of feeling sick. My back and neck carry a majority of my pressure, but have also been having intense pains in knees and ankles. I always walk around feeling phyisically drained, and useless. I have been slowly weaning off my anxiety meds under doctors and mine's agreement for the last three weeks or so and should be free of the Paxil by early June, but I don't thinks that is causing this, at least I hope not. Any suggestions on herbal/alternative treatments I could try to inprove my overall physical feeling? I'm willing to try almost anything, provided it fits in my budget...
Help...

Wow, I would have a check-up with my Doctor, and possibly go to a Holistic Doctor and/or Chiropractor. This sounds serious to me.

Good Luck

Just want to say that Yes, coming off anxiety Meds CAN cause symptoms. Some people feel like they are just gonna' die!! it is normal, and should go away. Keep your Doctor up to speed on symptoms you are feeling... She/He would probably be interested in even the subtlest thing, seemingly unrelated.
Stay positive.

Nephthys, see my problem is my mom lost her job in October, losing her excellent health insurance, and was collecting, which allowed her to keep up the same coverage, but now the unemployment was cut off, and we have nothing. I've been paying for most of my own bills, and need to try to fix this myself, before I have her use her limited budget to take me to a real doctor. Thnaks for your concern, though, and I will keep on top of the symptoms and seek medical help if they won't improve.
Thnaks for the heads up, pixelpixie, about the anxiety meds having after effects as I lose them. I did have horrible effects before when I'd forget to take them for more than 2 days, but I've been trying to avoid that by doing a gradual transition. I'll keep my doctor informed, and let her know about this on Monday.
I will do my best to stay positive, and wanted to add that after I took the little purple plate juni gave me and sat on it while typing my original post, I was able to take a two hour refreshing nap with my kitty cat...
Appreciate everyone's advice and concern.

To echo pixie, a friend went through something similar when going off antidepressants...then eventually felt better than ever.

Be well soon. I'm sorry to hear of your family's situation, and I hope it improves soon.
