Hiya everyone,

Recently I moved into a new house share in London. It has a lovely atmosphere, and one night during the week of moving I was sitting on the sofa, having a cigarette (I know, I know ) I was half watching the telly, and half noticed the smoke spiralling up from my right hand.

Not too unusual, but I know what cigarette smoke ususally looks like and this was spiralling fast It was a smallish column which had a distinct, kinda beautiful pattern spiral of about 30cms? I thought, OK maybe it's the air in this place - new place y'know? So I slowly moved my hand to the left and to the right just outside of this column, (not my body, just my arm) and the smoke didn't act the same! Instead it was like it was being faintly blown about, like parts were being taken in - but they dissolved, and blown away like there was an energy there. I put it back in the original place and there it was again - only in that place!!

I didn't feel a breeze in when I put my hand in this spiral, but it was definitly there!

Then.. I came back home lateish last night and happened to switch on to a programme about ghosts on camera. I settled to watch about this little girl who'd has photos taken of her and in almost every one - is this whiteish spiral.. the same thing I saw in the smoke! Same width, but it was bigger of course cig smoke disappears from sight at a certain height. She talked like she has spirits with her, although the spiral isn't visable to the naked eye.

I do feel spirits with me at times too. Does anyone have a take on this? Are they my angels in form, other spirits? Whilst watching I felt uneasy - like a high energy ringing in my head, maybe cos I was aware? I sometimes get it when I think someone's with me

wow. That sounds pretty neat.
I remember having moments such as those.. where the smoke from incense or cigarettes looked absolutely striking. I remember a time where I was willing the smoke from incense to move in specific ways and it did. Of course, I'd also imbibed in a certain other smoke beforehand, so it was utterly fascinating.

There are energies and entities all around us all the time. In many respects we have no privacy from them whatsoever. Sometimes we are aware of them and sometimes we are not. Don't for one minute be fooled into thinking that you actually have to see something for it to exist.

There are natural elemental energies that we ourselves manifest into being. These are inter-dimensional energies that are not always human as such.

There are angelic and earthbound energies too.

There are also natural, intelligent, electromagnetic fields that are drawn naturally to your energy frequencies because they resonate with an action or a feeling expressed at any one time. Perhaps it was a smoker, who wanted a little of your action?

I've noticed something like this too with my own cigarette smoke and incense too. My experiences were like our sweet Pixies... willing the smoke to go in whatever direction I told it to move... also imbibed in another kind of smoke

Great word, Pix... imbibed. Don't hear that one often. I'm gonna have to watch out for you and Pid and you're great words! I just might fall in love.

Oh, Librasparkle, I know!!! I am a word freak. I love it when I hear great words, I usually point it out to the person. "Wow, great word!" My pet peve, ( admittedly one of many!) is when an intelligent person uses slang or says something in an irritatingly wrong way. I don't mean swearing, I do that too....I guess to me speaking and using language is the easiest way to convey who you are and your values, and it is powerful tool... to misuse it undermines who you are presenting, it should be respected and respectful. I have Libra Mercury... so I think that is a part of it.
I am accused of using big words with my childrn, and I don't mean to complicate things, but I honestly CAN'T say things the same way others can... it's not natural for me. I wish I could think of an example.... But really? My kids are very smart, they won't know words if no one teaches them, right? Learning by example. My son could knock your socks off with his vocabulary, and he always strives for more, and is proud. ( Though he isn't 'book-smart' nor particularily driven in school, but I trust that his brilliance will have a method when he knows himself more.) Gosh, listen to me... blah blah blah....

I've got Mercury Libra too. Interesting.

I don't speak down to my children either. I speak to them (and always have) as I would speak to anyone else. Intelligibly. If we don't give our children a vocabulary, who will? The public school system?

My children are well spoken. I couldn't have it any other way. My husband teases me and calls me The Gramar Nazi because I'm constantly correcting my kids (and niece and nephew whom I care for nearly everyday). I make them repeat a word until they can say it correctly. I drive them nuts.

I try not to correct adults, although I will with my close friends. They've learned to accept this about me, and will usually just make fun of me. But, I have planted gramar seeds in their minds, and I find they will correct themselves in my presense. Funny.

I have a big issue with 'well' and 'good'. It drives me up the wall when people use these words as thought they are interchangable. Also effect and affect. I pick this one out of print mostly. Sometimes I find myself wanting to write a letter to the editor and ask how he/she actually got their job! I've never done that though... just fantasized.

Thank you, Pixie, Maven, Gia, LibraSparkle for your replies I have noted what you've all said but forgive me if I don't run it down now because I already have - but lost the post - you'll understand as you read on!

Maven, your page is amazing. The picture shows the closeness of the rings in the smoke. I love the supernatural ones. Saw your pic, you're so cute!

I already made a longer reply to this post but the laptop seized for 25 mins and couldn't even shut it down at one point. It 3:25am now and tireder than before, but had to write this because I need some help please

So.. forgive me if this seems rushed but it's Round 2. I have previously posted somewhere about sleep problems I've had over the years, but it's a bit more than that and it's becoming more frequent.

I went to sleep at 1am, reasonable for a Saturday night. I fell into sleep to be woken up, not being able to move my physical body, an overwhelming fear came over me I could't understand, and exhausted myself trying to wrestle awake, and I was moving like I was stuck in toffee - really tried to move my body and was tired anyway and scared. I fell into a kinda nightmare in which I went downstairs to get my housemates attention, to try and get them in to wake me up but they just laughed.

I managed to wake up briefly for seconds and felt this pull again to sleep - and tried desperatly not to but it was like I was drugged - (I wasn't I was drinking water and eating popcorn) it was so odd, and scary because my body was asleep but I was awake and thinking 'No.. I'm asleep but my eyes are open?! I can't wake from being awake!' What seemed like ages past in this exhausting - pointless struggle and suddenly my 'body' relaxed and seemed to go back in myself, even tho' I was lying down, my entire being tingled with heat, I heard two clear knocks on the door, and I was fully moving and awake.

I put the light on and came downstairs, mildly irritated, confused - knowing it wasn't down to stress or diet as docs have said, and tried to briefly explain to a logical housemate why I couldn't sleep, more desperation since he is quite closed to unearthly matters. Not his fault.

Anyway, this has happened before in another house I'd get a knock on the dresser before I could wake, or a bag will fall on th floor on the other side of the room - yes they could be logical explainations - but I feel something. I have also woken to briefly see white, smokey, bright formations right above my head! Then disapear like I've imagined it.

I tried sending this post and a laptop connection which had been working perfectly all day, crashes completely for 25mins - froze when I tried to restart it??

Sorry if I'm going on, but haven't posted before because firstly I thought I could deal with it, but have no answers and it's messing up sleep patterns and getting up for work, secondly when I did post before tonight - the same thing happened and lost the post.

Any feedback would be so appreciated!

Thanks in advance - I have to try and sleep again, it's almost 4am,

Oh, sweetie!
How scary and unnerving for you.
This has happened to me before.
I actually watched a program featuring these 'episodes' they were trying to explain 'OBE's', 'NDE's' and alien abductions, and talking about certain receptors in the brain, and how during sleep, when your body is regenerating and recouperating, different pathways shut down.. the electrical impulses controlling conscious movement shut down temporarily... so you are almost paralysed, to divert more energy to other necessary functions. They explained it all neatly, medically and scientifically. Even had an MRI of the brain during sleep. Still dosn't explain the spiritual/metaphysical aspect of it. But that's the scientific one, anyway. I hope it brings a little comfort.

Thank you Pixie, yes you're right, I've read about that - but couldn't rephrase it in the eliquent way you just did!

Forgot to add last night (well didn't but it was 2nd time round!) that I'm seeing a psychic called Inga on Wednesday who I've seen twice before. Maybe she can add the other aspect - it's not that I'm looking for one - but I really do know there's somthing about, and it had gone by the time I sent the second post last night.

Oh I don't think it's ev*l or anything - I pray and send out love alot mentally. However it seems micheavous? Geez I can't spell today been so clumsy all weekend!

Got up late today and going to make the most of my Sunday while I got it! Oh dreamt about Gia last night (this morning) too, I think the Knowflakes dreams'll start now!
