Where would you choose to go? I would say Australia definitely, it has always been my dream. And also, Ireland. Both are beautiful counties places with rich culture and heritage, plus, I could get super drunk!

Yes, Australia, home of the Gouldian finch and 143 degrees in the shade. Look up www.LadyGouldianFinch.com and see these beautiful birds.
I would go...either 70 miles north from where I live or Northern Australia, and see the dingos and awsome kangaroos!

Hey there Ever since I was about 8 or 10, I have wanted to go to Australia. I love everything about it, the culture, the people, and I love Aussie accents I would like to see Sydney in particular. Secondly, there is some hecka good music there (silverchair, the dissociatives, the living end, frenzal rhomb, bodyjar.)

Also, I have always wanted to travel and leave a good impression upon the places I have visited; to break the stereotype that all Americans are basically assholes (pardon the language hehe.) I consider myself a humanitarian and wish to communicate with people from all walks of life.

Lastly, I was reading up on some of the things in Oz like food and what not. I have no idea why Musk flavoured Life Savers and Chicken flavoured chips have not taken off here in the states!

Well, anyhow that's my reasoning there. I'll stop rambling for now!

I want to go anywhere in Asia. I'd go to Tibet or China or Japan or India.
And of course, I want to go to Australia too. But I've always wanted to visit New Zealand. That's my dream land
Moonat, people want to go where they have not been before and preferably to a place far far away from their home country

great question, dorkus!

i'm off to Tibet next month for six weeks. yee haw. hey, Aphrodite, when're you planning on being in Nepal? we were going to go there overland, but the Maoist killings have escalated recently so we may just plane it. have you been before?

i haven't yet been to Greece or Turkey, so those are my top two. (followed by a gazillion others!)

Lucky Aphrodite and Xelena Ben!
How do you plan a trip like that, how much does it cost? Where do you fly to?
If you don't mind answering, of course.

I've been to most of those places and they are all fantastic for different reasons. I still love Italy and the Greek Islands - especially some of the smaller lesser known Greek Islands. They are just so beautiful. The reason I'm half Greek has nothing to do with it at all. My sister has just purchased a house in Sardinia which I'm hoping to visit. I said that I'd help her harvest her olive crop. Never done that before either. It should be fun. I hope.

Ireland is magical, more so Southern Ireland I think. Always great for a drink and a fiddle. Conamara is beautiful. I did a tour of Ireland with a mad American friend of mine a couple of years back. We meditated on ancient sites, stayed in cheap bed and breakfast farms and basically had a hoot.

Argentina is breathtaking. I totally had no idea. The Islands were a favourite of Walt Disney. The Andes back drop in the mountain resorts are a fantastic sight to behold. Foz do Iguacu are waterfalls on the border of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. Over 280 waterfalls, huge, enormous, plunging, powerful ones over two miles wide. I've never seen so much water or heard water make such a noise in all my life. I will never forget it. It's well worth a visit, but go in the summer because you'll get drenched.

I have never been to New Zealand. My step son did a triathalon in New Zealand last year. I fell in love with the place. Also just watching the Lord of the Rings has made me crazy to visit. That would be my choice right now. That and Bora Bora.I need to wash that man right out of my hair!

Australia, New Zealand, and Romania. Most of my online friends (not counting Lindaland) are from those places.

And Egypt, of course, to see the Great Pyramid. And then China, Japan, and Okinawa. I love oriental culture. I'm afraid I might end up in a monastery though, and no one would ever see me again...

I've lived in New Zealand (for 3 years), it is truly beautiful and wonderful, however it's the Kiwis that make it so wonderful (I'm 1/2 kiwi myself but that has nothing to do with it lol) It's my favorite place on earth

But because I've already been to my top 3, NZ, AU and FR, I'd have to say if I could go anywhere it would be Egypt, the Greek Islands, Turkey, Cambodia or India. All have beautiful ruins I would LOVE to see!

Pencil in one more vote for New Zealand. But soooo far away. Think of the jet lag!
Also Wales, Scotland, Ireland and England. Peru too. An India. Actually I'd be thrilled with a ticket to Wyoming if that's all that's avaiable. Come to think about it Wyoming is probably quite pretty.

Musk flavored life savers!!?? Say in ain't so.

I would love to go to the Altai mountains in Siberia. If I went I'd love to go to the museum where the "Ice Maiden" is. She is a 2,000 year old mummy that still has her skin intact on her arms with the most AWESOME tatoos!!

This area is also known to be the area called "Shamballa", but there are probably others.

This area is also referred to as the "naval" of the world; one of the sacred hot spots, so to speak electromagnetically.

Let's go!!

Ireland!!! Though something is drawing me to Tennessee right now. I've actually been toying with the idea of moving there. Perhaps around Nashville, but Knoxville seems to be calling me, too. <sigh> Maybe one of these days.

I am obsessed with the Loch Ness Monster, so I would like to go to Loch Ness, Scotland.

I am also obsessed with Ancient Egypt, so I would like to go to Giza, Egypt and see the Great Pyramids.

Now, if I could live anywhere, I would want to live in the *country* with a lot of green rolling hills or plains, forests, and either a lake or water nearby. I would like to have a farm or animal sanctuary. But a warm temperature, I can't take cold weather.
