What is it then? Is it admiring someone?
What? I'm asking in earnest cause I really need to know.

Thanks.

For me, it is both.
Like, for instance, I crush Ra.. over in Astral Realms.. simply because he is a good hearted person, wise and intelligent, and I just find him interesting.
I crush a guy at work, because he flirts with me, makes me feel good, is silly and makes me laugh.
I crush another guy at work, only slightly.. simply because he crushes me, and I think he has good taste
Any situation for me can have that.. those hot interactions.. th meeting of the eyes... the great conversation.. well, for me it is a whole new level.. I get those happy love bubbles in my belly. I glow. I even do it when I interact with a sales clerk who catches my eye.
They are simple crushes, and I am not crushed when nothing comes of them.. there are other, deeper ones.. those are more complicated. Some are actual love feelings.. I can differentiate, though.
The movie star thing? Charisma, sexiness, the character they play.........
All have an impact on me and I can flirt with the best of them.
I'm just a crush girl. Always have been!

Gia,
I don't feel it's a lust thing either, as I had crushes when I was really young, and it was more like, someone I found intriguing in some way. Either someone I looked up to or maybe just someone with a certain **twinkle** in their eye.... Now some of them may be people I find attractive, but mostly it's people I think I could probably have a decent conversation with....

Paras,
Leave it to you to pick the level-headed, intelligent girlie with ponytails, not the suited in leather assasin... and yeah, she was too skinny... Charlize Theron is playing her in the movie they are filming now... hope she doesn't lose all her curves!!

Like a light attraction for something, but
nothing really deep or serious?

I guess then if I admire people for different characteristics, you could then say I had a crush on them. I thought it was something more.

Let me think. I'll report back.

Thank you guys.

Well, there are crushes and then there are crushes.

The grade-shool crush is like... a really warm feeling. A really soft spot for someone. They're special to you, and make you feel inexplicably happy.

Then we get older and full of hormones and a crush can (and usually does) take on different dimensions.

Hope that helps, Gia.

Oh no, Ghani! An Aeon Flux movie?? It'll never work. Hollywood would never put the dark intensity and sexual overtones of Aeon Flux before the public for mass consumption. They're going to ruin it.

I get crushes on people for different reasons. I can have a crush on someone without knowing at all what they look like. Maybe just by reading their words or hearing their voice. Just a certain 'something' about someone that resonates with me.

Of course there can be the physical attraction aspect of it, too. I have some crushes like that but - BUT - in my case there has to be something upstairs for attraction to proceed into a crush. A man can be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen but if he opens his mouth and he's stupid or a JERK then it fizzles right then and there!

BloodRedMoon!!!!

A 'Quality'. Most definately.
I absolutely don't have a type.
And looks aren't necessary. But there are times that they help.

Anybody ever crush on a comic book character?
Many a nights I used to lay awake wondering how on earth I could crush so hard core on such a complete work of fiction as an elf named Skywise from the series ElfQuest....

hahaha omg...I used to crush on the kid who played Doogie Hauser M.D., the red head kid from Salute Your Shorts who was later on one of the Terminator movies, and Axl Rose.

I wonder what the heck was up with me back then, although Axl Rose when he was younger is still hot to me.

I wonder if Libran influences activate the crush center of the brain? I have a Libra moon and, like pixelpixie, I am a crushaholic. (I feel like I just started a twelve-step program! NO! I don't wanna quit!)

Ooooooooooh, but I crush on EVERYBODY! Celebs, real people, people I've never met face to face, authors, boys, girls (and I'm strictly hetero, but I can't deny a hot chica when I see one!) On my first day of kindergarten I chased the cutest boy in my class to the back of the school bus and kissed him. He may still be scarred! My parents were all excited when I got home to hear how my day went and that's the story I told them. I don't think my father's been able to relax since then!

However, I feel perfectly alright with my crushes, but nothing gets under my skin more than even the thought of my boyfriend having a crush! Luckily for me he accepts this double standard and keeps his mouth shut and his eyes to himself. (It's horrible, I know... I'm evil sometimes!)

See, I'm so excited about crushing that I can't stop rambling!

**sigh**

rugged guys, dorky guys, short guys, tall guys, smart guys, artsy guys, weird guys, tatooed guys, long-haired guys, funny guys, melancholy guys, athletic guys, straight-laced guys... YUM!

...leaves to take a cold shower!
