SadMoon - this one is for you

Who says it is a bad thing to be sad? It is an enriching experience, its the time when your soul grows the most and recalls its past experiences, its the time when you learn the necessary lessons that take you to the next level ... its the time you fullfil your destiny.

And you have the right idea, music does bring our emotions to the surface and helps you deal with stuff you would otherwise suppress. Im just glad you are brave enough to express yourself and deal with your demons rather than hide them away. Just knwo that we are all with you, our prayers and wishes and hope you will be able to overcome your grief soon and find your way back to the world of living! For its a beautiful place, with its vice and virtues and its waiting for you, like an oyster, waiting to take you back in its folds!

You're not alone, buddy <O>

Gee, I can't believe nobody said it...

to win big in the lottery....

not a noble wish...like world peace...totally selfish....but to suddenly find yourself wealthy...you'd be in a position to do a lot of good...if you would have the right intentions...

As Christmas Day in the West draws to a close, who ever and wherever you are, I wish for you a peaceful and prosperous 2005 and a reminder:

When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you

If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do

Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of
Their secret longing

Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true

maya-v, you've inspired me. And you look at things with a positive attitude. If someone is sad all the time then it can be harmful, but you cannot know what joy really is or truly appreciate it without having gone through sadness. Everything in this world has at least two sides and we just need to see both of them to grow. I'm trying to be braver, to be stronger, to learn more about life. I'm trying to forget. Like the flick 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'.

SadMoon,

Try not to let yourself go to extremes (it's a discipline). If you let your self get really, really, happy, then it is inevitable that you will eventually swing back to the opposite side of the pendulum and get really really sad. *We always go to the equal opposite ends of the spectrum.* Try to find a middle ground with your emotions. Or you will constantly be at the mercy of the highs and lows.

Meditating helps. Also praying and keeping your thoughts positive no matter how hard it may seem. If you say it is hard, then it will be. You are in complete control of yourself, your emotions - everything in your life. REALLY think about this. Your mind will want to jump in and say this isnt true, it's too hard - impossible. Quiet that voice in you, dont let it take control.

Take it from me, I've been there.

Oh 26, havent we all? But I feel, sometimes, it is not in you to control how your emotions behave. Sometimes, life brings you such eye-opening, mind-blowing miracles, that they shake you out of the melancholy and stagnancy of the humdrum that you wear like a camoflage. And nature's messages arent always happy - they can bring intense joy and unending grief in equal measure. But just like the shore, we should learn to face the soothing blue waves and the thundering gray storms ... for they mould and form the shapes of our conscious and make us who we are!

Shall I take your centre gently in my palm and nudge you up so you feel the gladness that I see when you think you show none....
Shall I show you how the things which come undone become the things that make us one?
And as we row along in these leaky vessels, rocks boaring new holes in our beautifully exposed bellies, these vessels show the scars of the wars which come unheeded.
Taking boats from sea to shore and planting foreign seeds.
We cast our bodies downward to hide from the light .. shadows gravely swaying, mesmerizing with delight ..
in darkness, deserving of no light....yet.
somehow, despite otherwise utterances, it still shines and will shine more brightly as the seeds grow
But the scars still show.. fading silvery pink in the shivering stink of decay.. to be seen another day...
If I burn enough sweet grass the air tastes light. If I burn enough Sage, will I be one?
I might...
But this night. This night.
I will rock myself gently in this feeble boat
allow the water swirling past to lead me to a moat
a chance to rest, to give myself what I so surely need.......
For when I seal the bandage, still the scar will sometimes bleed....
I need
for him to feel this.
I need for him to know
to be who I thought he was
to let me be me ..... happily.
But Oh God... now it hurts so much
If only he knew
if only......
then maybe.....
but
I know it has only begun
but
it really only takes one.
I will drag my sorry ass to the shower
and drench my body for an hour
I will look into my soul
maybe looking for that hole
it is gouged there, I know, I feel it here.....
here
and here
I name everything
everywhere I feel it
But the good thing about a name....
is once identified, it can be addressed.
To be aknowledged gives the demons a rest.
I want to feel. I know it is real and anything real can be fought.
Anything named can be sought.
Seek it out. Drag it out.
Fight it out and spit it out.
When you drag yourself up again,
we will be here to mend your pain.
