Something has happened, I went away for a while, after logging in here, and now I can't 'open' anything. I can't link, I can't go to MSN hotmail, I can't close programs.. I can't access my own computer programs. I was downloading some music from WINMX, for my band practice tonight... and then I came here, started reading, and my screen blinked in and out, but stayed on... but the 'hourglass' symbol started flickering on and off....
I wanted to run my FSecure or a defrag, or something productive, but I can't use the right click on my mouse.
What do I do>????? PLEASE!!???
I hope this posts.

I had problems w/ Spyware coming w/ WinMX so I quit using it. I had to completely wipe my computer and start over because the Spyware was so embedded in the system. It hides so you can't even see it in your Task Manager to turn it off. It slowed my PC down to a snails pace (presumably because it was sending out spam in the background), and I kept getting porn pop-ups. My PC would lock up and I wouldn't even be able to alt-tab out of anything.

I'm not sure if that's your problem, but you can dl spyware detectors (they say they remove it, but they can't remove it all - at least they'll confirm whether it's spyware or a virus), and/or run a virus scan. The defrag won't really do much.

It's difficult to find music download programs that don't have spyware bundled with them. I use KazAa now, I paid the 20 bucks though to get a version that has no spyware - I think the free version has spyware, that's what I've heard anyway. I know WinMX has spyware bundled because that's how it got onto my work PC and screwed everything up.

Good luck, I've got my fingers crossed for you
