I know sometime ago you posted something about spyware and free software that would block it. Some people say the free spyware makes it worse...? I don't know what to do!

If you can advise me I'd so appreciate it. I'm useless at understanding all of this stuff, so please make it simple.

I keep getting porno sites attaching themselves to my favorites. I delete them and they come back. When they come back, they somehow multiply. Do you think it's safe to do my banking online? I'm so tired of it. I've never clicked on these sites before I saw them in my favorites. When I first saw them, I thought perhaps it was something I saved but forgotten about. So I clicked on them to find out what they were. Is this why now I'm getting more? I made it worse didn't I?

Please advise. Do I need to get a professional in? If so, who do I look for?

Gia

Hi Gia,

Hope you don't mind my butting in.

I use SpyBot and Adaware. The combonation of the two keeps me pretty spyware free. One catches those that the other misses.

What operating system do you have? First thing, scan for viruses. Whatever you find, delete them. The only thing that finds them all is: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Randall,

Is that for spyware or viruses?
