...from love signs.

Has anyone here checked into this? How do you figure out how many degrees separate your sun and moon? I get all confused when I try to do charts... don't know if I count counterclockwise or clockwise.

Just kind of curious...

I THINK I understand your question, like when you look at the Wheel, you get confused? It goes counterclockwise. But to make it more simple, if you are just dealing with degrees, try this.

Go to astro.com and click PERSONAL PORTRAIT. Scroll to the bottom, and you will see a nice little list of everything in their degrees, and you can just do the math.

Hope that helped, if I understood correctly.

Yep, that's what I meant.

I'm still a little unsure...let me give it a try.

Sun is 24' sag, moon is 21' libra, so these two are either 297' apart or 63' apart. Am I getting closer?

OK -

"Sun is 24' sag, moon is 21' libra"

I would think that you start with Libra first and then count towards the Sag. So from Libra 21' to Scorpio 21' is 30.

Then Scorpio 21' to Sag 21' is another 30.

Sag 21' to 24' is 3'.

So the total is 63, which most people would consider to be a Sextile if they allow a 3 degree orb :::

CONJUNCTION
0

SEMISEXTILE
30

SEMISQUARE
45

SEXTILE
60

SQUARE
90

TRINE
120

SESQUIQUAURATE
135

QUINCUNX
150

OPPOSITION
180

So you would go start with the "youngest" Sign, and move counterclockwise on the Wheel, which starts with Aries, and ends with Pisces.

Does that help?

I just found some info in the archives on this subject, which raises another question... (which astro answered, but the answer in archives was different.) Which is the correct way to calculate-- sun to moon or moon to sun?

Aphrodite, you had some interesting info on this subject, maybe you know for sure?

And AJ... when you said "youngest" in reference to Libra, do you mean because Libra comes before Sag?

Thanks!

hi there,

i didn't calculate the math at the time and relied on www.astro.com. this was b/c the distance between the moon and sun would have to figured out for each month and i didn't want to do the work.

sorry to disappoint.
