Hey,

Where has the year gone by?!?! The year is almost over. Whoa.

What have you done this year? What what you like to accomplish by New Year's Eve?

It has gone by sooo fast. I'm kind of glad though because this hasn't been the best year for me.

I feel like I haven't accomplished anything this year, although I have had my first actually GOOD relationship, and have learned to have more patience. I also accomplished not letting myself stay in a completely miserable situation for longer than I should have.

By New Year's, I just want to feel more stable and have a job. I'm starting small on the goals.

My biggest goal is to get my kids to get fractions.

They've both been kinda bored at school, and both enjoy math the most. So, I've decided to take on fractions. We've been baking, using measurements to try to grasp the idea. They understand completely until we put it on paper... then they get lost

I'm not really sure how else to challenge them. They understand multiplication, it's just a matter of memorization at this point.

Seems like fractions are the next logical step, BUT, they're having a tough time grasping it. Everything is 1/2 LOL. If I fill a bottle 3/4 of the way, it's 1/2. 1/4? It's 1/2 too!

So... Hopefully by New Years I'll have figured out a way to break it down for them.

Any suggestions, Knowflakes?

Maybe I should go back and help them memorize the multiplication tables so we can move on to division instead of fractions?

*sigh* I just don't know where to go from here. Pretty soon, these little boogers are going to be smarter than me, and I'm not going to be of service anymore

Last year was a year of discovery, about myself, and alot of the things I had been clueless about.... in terms of how I relate to others.. the things that are important.. but the things that are important to whom, and why, and they don't always follow the scale you think they should.
Does that even make sense?
This year........ and I feel much more approaching.. I am becoming more comfortable with those discoveries I made. Once again.. not the normal ones I thought my life would lead me to.. but very special and transformative.
I am now twenty-eight.. it still surprises me that the weeks zip by before I know it. Saturn returning indeed... we'll see what it forces into my life.
Destiny is interesting.
Thanks for asking.
and you?

Can I borrow your words Pix? Beautifully said, and the kind of year I had too! I look forward to more of the same! I'd like to say I could not have made the strides I've made without LL!

L.S. Try the fractions with their allowances!

This year I've dated more quality men than in the past. Not perfect, but much better. One sent a dozen red roses to my office this past summer. Never had that before.

I am hoping to find that special someone this year.

Right now, there is the start of something. He is bright, funny, and awfully sweet. He called yesterday and wants to meet again after I come back from traveling to NYC.

Pixie, every card in your tarot reading for me came out correct for this year. But, there is one I'm still waiting for. I think you know which one

Nice chatting to u Aphrodite!!

Hhmm, well the year has definatly shot by!!
A lots changed, including myself. Ive learnt a couple of new things, my only Grandfather has passed away, which was very sad but also opened me up and matured me alot too; taught me too be closer to family and keep in touch more often with the people I love, how death seems change people for the better and connect people, too try to live and value life more fully, also that its just not worth it having ****** people in your life, their not important or helpful so just leave them, and also just that there are still many mysteries in the world and things that I want to understand and know more about. In fact, June was quite the emotional learning experience, with beautiful weather too!!
I went to my first live music festival (the V fest in UK) with my best friend, had a brilliant time, and came home invigorated and suprised at how dull TV/not live music is, and with a couple of new favourite bands too!!!
All in all, 2004 has been a very interesting unusual year, full of changes and shocks, including the war which affected me more than I had thought.
One more thing, I was a test reader for an amazing book, thanks to a good friend of mine who reccomended me as I love reading, which was a wonderful experience and one Im very thankful for.
Which takes me to my next piece, for the New Year I have been inspired to want to write and finish a long story that Im proud of. That would be very satisfying as I find it hard to stick with and finish a project... (only one earth sign!!)

OOohh!! Sorry for rambling!! I didnt mean to write so much... *Scorpio sun blushes and scurries off the thread, while Gemini moon smiles triumphantly "Ill be baaacckk"* Hehe, couldnt resist....
