I have been reading "The Secret Life of Plants" by Thompkins and Bird. I was pretty amazed with the experiments, so I wanted to conduct a few of my own.

First I must say, some time ago, I purchased Alex Chou's "Immortality Rings." The rings are worn at night when you sleep, they are to restore any electrical imbalances you may have. I was never really sure if they worked, but I still wear them.

In the book, a Dr. Backster discovered that plants could be hooked up to a "Lie Detector" machine and did experiments that concluded plants give and take energy, are telepathic, and self preserving when there is a threat of danger. There is much more.

I did not have a lie detector machine lying around the house, so I used hubby's Digital Multimeter. It's used for testing the A/c (alternating currant) D/C (direct currant) electrical output of batteries and such. (Volts)

Long before I purchased the rings, my husband and I were playing with the multimeter and registered our electrical current in our bodies.

My D/C V's registered between .017 and .045 V.
Hubby's D/C V's registered between.009 and .065 V.

Today, after my having been wearing the rings for 4 months, my reading was 0.000.
Hubby's was still the same as the first reading.
Basically, my electrical current was completely stabilized, where as his was still erratic.
I guess the rings worked. Initially I wasn't trying to see if my electrical current was stable, I only remembered it after my reading.
I was taking our readings to compare them to my "Banana Plant."

This is what's amazing! The plant also had a 0.000 reading, meaning it too was electrically balanced! Me and the plant, WOW!

Next I registered the reading of the plant while I held a stalk, it also registered 0.000.

Next I placed my left hand around the stalk while placing the negative test lead on the same hand and placing the positive test lead on my right hand. Where I was once 0.000, I registered +0.040 v more! The plant was passing energy onto me!

Then I reversed the leads, placing the positive test lead on my left hand and negative in my right. I had passed +.014 v onto the plant, as my reading was -.014!

Sure, I believed energy is passed from every living thing, but to see it happening! This is a very happy day in my life!
There are so many more tests I want to do!

Tomorrow I'll go to the park and measure a large tree!
Oh, and the plant had an A/C of .023, we did not have an A/C currant.

Next is to find a lie detector machine so I can replicate some of Dr. Baxter's tests!

Philbird.....WOW!

Linda spoke about some of this in STAR SIGNS...and I was amazed then!

Do you remember the story about the plants who would not react, when a lady showed up who worked with "dried flowers?" They were scared of her...

Thanks for sharing....and let us know about more experiments....

Love,
Rainbow

Actually, Linda Goodman used the same test results written by Baxter! That's the first time I was amazed.
If you liked that, try getting the book I mentioned!

I have now tried this experiment with my Purple Plate. Alone the plate registered 0.000.

My reading was 0.000.

When I held the Purple Plate, my reading went up to +.040 V!!!!!

The plate gave me the same additional energy as the plant!!???!!

Ohhhh, This is fun!

OK Ladies, here's another!

It's been a long time since hubby and I were "alone." If ya know what I mean...

We did readings after, and...
Hubby was just 0.001 (balanced)
and I was a flippin' -.025! (drained)

How's that for proof!!!

GUY's These are experiments you can do in your home! You can get a Multimeter for about $10.00! AND test your batteries too!
I'm going to find a lie detector machine on ebay! Hubby will make it into a galvemeter to hook the plants up to! Play, Play, Play!

Cute! C'mon, you could have a lot of fun with this! Mr. T?? Hmmm? Before and after?
I bet he has a Multimeter lying around, if he's any kind of MAN!!!!

Sorry, I was in another forum. Yes, I'll have to ask him if he has a mutimeter. Sounds like fun.

I had typed a nice long post here, but I got kicked off the net. So the short version.

Last night I didn't wear the rings. This morning, I registered +.025 V. (not balanced)

The banana plant was balanced at 0.000.

I decided to give some energy to the plant and sent it +.016 V, as my reading went down to +.009.

I did a reading on myself and I had the same reading I had in the beginning.

I decided to try and send the plant a little telepathic love. I caressed and sent loving messages to the plant. I apologized for killing half of it with the air conditioning this summer, and promised to use a humidifier this winter,

I held both the leads in the proper hands and while sending the messages, watched my reading go from +.025 to -.004!

I sent more telepathically than I did while actually touching the plant!

I welcome any input here, or different things to try!

I tried another.

The plant and I were passing energy back and forth, when I brought in an annual plant that was dying. I cut the stems off the annual plant then measured the banana plant for response. NOTHING! Neither the plant nor the soil would give or receive positive or negative energy. I apologized and explained the other plant was going to die anyway. A few minutes later the banana plant was communicating with me again.

Hubby usually waters the plants, so I had him come near the plant and the plants positive reading was +.068. When he walked away, the number declined. (it got "excited" when he came close.)

Bought the banana plant a companion... Start testing tomorrow.

have you ever heard of tree-hugging?

is this the measure of the effects?

That and give and take of energy. Just wanting to take actual readings. See how we affect our apartment companions. And they us.

Love reading about the tests, thats facinating about the telepathic energy too!!
Goodluck with getting that lie detector machine on Ebay!
Thankyou 4 the readings!!

Great work Philbird!

I think one of the reasons facts like these get somehow "overlooked" is because it tends to make us feel guilty for our, at times, damaging existence. To constantly live in wonderment? The closest we get may get if we don't watch out is in a very reward-punishment manner. We get close to it, but only if we agree to pay mucho bucks to stand in line for an hour and a half, to be surrounded by merely mechanical precision at that !!

THINK about it, eh?

Good morning! A.J., I'm not really sure what that last sentance meant. Could you explain???
Believe me a flood of guilt came over me while reading the book! I'm only a quarter of the way through. I've always been pretty conscientious about not hurting plants and animals, but I have black thumb when it comes to keeping indoor plants.

This morning I registered the banana plant and myself. We were both balanced.

I measured the give and take of energy, and we both registered an equal +.040 V.

I brought my bird over, whom I knew would gnaw on a leaf, and the banana plant registered a negative reading, even though I didn't let Phil bite the leaf! I took a reading after I put Phil on his house and measured the plant again. I "flat lined", or played dead. About ten minutes later, I did another give/take energy reading, and again, we were happily passing energy!

I'm trying another experiment with leaves of another dying annual plant. I have a leaf just lying on the table, another I have been caressing and another on the Purple Plate. I'm trying to see which will die first.
I'll keep you posted.

Remember the three leaves? Jay decided he was going to be the caretaker of one. He took it skateboarding with him. So cute the way he's treating it! Kids are supposed to better at this than adults.

Well, it's evening and here ard the so far results of the three leaves... Pretty much as Baxter described.
Leaf with TLC is still healthy looking.
Leaf on Purple Plate still healthy looking.
Plant ignored, wilting.
In comes the guilt!
