Zuma be the almighty in the freeware department ...

Otherwise, I'm good at all the new fight vg's, kicks, twirls, the whole thing. And before that, trippinG on Myst, and before that, stuck on NN2 - Mario, Earthworm Jim ...

I used to play Diablo II - the computer game like a maniac - 7-8 hours a day. Although I'm not a big fan of video games - I'd play Harry Potter once in a while

Oh, yeah, and I prefer XBox over PlayStation.

I rented one of the Harry Potter games (I think #2). It was fun.

I also used to play and internet RPG called Asheron's Call. That was a lot of fun too, but a real time sucker.

Oh, yes.
(Well, when I had more time.)

Big RPGer and Action game chick - not too big on First Person Shooters, though.

I used to play Diablo II as well...also ultima online.

The most addicting are MMORPG, if you've never played one you are missing out, games like ever quest etc. There's a new one comin out called "world of warcraft," it looks like it will be the most addicting game ever made. Check it out, www.blizzard.com

Asheron's Call is a lot like Everquest, from what I understand.

I got so friggin' sucked into that game! I would spend 5-6 hours at a time playing.

Diablo 2 is great fun. Not much role-playing in it, though. You want that, you ought to try Morrowind.

I play sometimes, I used to be a pretty heavy gamer but have cooled off over the years. Mostly all I play right now is Need For Speed: Underground on Gamecube, and sometimes arcade games (I'm still a sucker for Galaga and I found an arcade with it!). I also still have an original Game Boy with a bunch of games.

My kids have the Game Boy Advance SP ... they have a blast with them. They have come out with cartridges that have several cartoon episodes on them. They have The Fairly Odd Parents and Strawberry Shortcake

Am I what! I love games, but yeah, they take time. I'm currently plodding through Final Fantasy X on PS2.

I have:

Gran Turismo 3
The Matrix
The Getaway (a bit too vilent for me, but I own it)
Kingdom Hearts (very kidsy rpg)
I love porsche racing games - Porsche Challenge on PS1, and Need for Speed Porsche 2000 on PS2
Resident Evil: Code Veronica X (I LOVED Res 2 on PS1)
Red Faction (getting a bit glitchy with age)
SSX and SSX tricky
Primal
Max Payne

I want to get:
Metal Gear Solid 2 (loved the first one)
FFX2 at some point

I was hoping someone would bring up a games thread so I can get this off my chest I don't really have or make time to play, but I feel so stressed sometimes when the sit there for months and I haven'y played them. I feel a need to clock them all. I haven't even beaten the first stage of the Matrix.

Anyhow, thanks for that,
Dean.

Oh, and I can't wait for the next gen consoles! They'll be truly Awesome

Yeah, it's taking me ages. I keep getting side tracked. It's pretty cool, but I get a little bored.

Dean.

I am a gamer, and I have one for you, is is called There. it is a virtual world where you creat an avatar and you interact with other people there are many activities, you can get a buggy and go driving or racing, you can get a hoverboard, hoverbik or hoverpack and go exploring, you can hang out and chat, or you can play spades or other games. you can choose to design your own clothing or items, and you can even buy land and set up a house. You cvan host events and parties, even throw virtual weddings. It has a small monthly fee to play, but it is way better than sims online for interacting with other people. There is also a similar game called secondlife, it has better graphics, and the engine is more powerful, but I did not find it as fun, the people there were not as friendly, mainly bacause secondlife allows mature content, and some sections have deteriorated into mindless pornographic content. There on the other hand does not allow that kind of thing and is always full of friendly people.

Does anyone else get frightened by some video games?

Some of them REALLY scare me.

Like this one... Blood Raven... or something like that. We rented it. You're a vampire.. a really SEXY one.

I was on the verge of PANIC ATTACK the whole time. Had to quit playing it. I couldn't even watch hubby play. TOO SCARY.

Silly, I know. Scary movies really scare me too.

Sometimes. But they don't tend to give Aries and Scorpios very many nice points! LOL!

If you like the first Sims you'll love the second Sims!! Really it's amazing how it looks and what you can do with them now. I should post some pictures from my game

This is one of my favorite subjects besides Ancient History and Astrology

My favs are RPGs and Strategy - right now I'm playing EQII and GTA San Andreas (which I highly recommend if you like the GTA series, it's scope is just amazing, and the graphics aren't too bad for a machine that has a 300MHz processor [PS2] lol) - MMORPGs take up so much time that it's difficult to play something OTHER than just the one game.

I've played Diablo I/II, EQOA (PS2), Empire Earth, Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, Starcraft, Warcraft, Might and Magic series, Dark Reign, Alpha Centauri, Sim City, Matrix (PS2), GTA & Vice City (PS2), and a bunch of old DOS RPGs and early strategy, which, despite the incredibly cheesy graphics I still like to play from time to time (they actually require imagination). I don't have an X-Box nor a GameCube, I'm primarily a PC gamer. I also have an Atari 2600 emulator and a Nintendo emulator that I use when I'm nostalgic for games from my childhood, and I still own my old Sega Genesis (although I never pull that dinosaur out anymore).

Like I said, I am a total vidiot. My love affair w/ gaming began in 1978 when my Dad bought Pong, then a few months later an Atari game machine that had three games: basketball, breakout and pinball. It was all downhill from there I'm just glad I didn't get really hard core into gaming until I was a bit older (mid twenties) and had a bit of self-discipline. If I had access to something like EQ in HS, I don't know if I would have actually graduated lol. I would probably be one of those people you hear about that have to be cut out of their homes w/ the Jaws of Life

The one type of game I don't go in for is FPS and most sports games (except Madden - and I really only play that w/ my roommate because I can play the Vikings and customize their purple uniforms)

LS: I have a GBA that I keep in my car for when I'm stuck waiting in the car for some reason and get bored (which I do easily if I'm just sitting unoccupied ) What was Asheron's Call like?

Blue Roamer: Please tell me a bit about World of Warcraft. I've heard of it, but I don't know anything about it (although I'm pretty much committed to EQ2 at this point, and two MMORPGs would be overkill lol, but I'm always interested in what other MMORPGs are out there)

*drools* My roommates have a PS2 - I like playing Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance and Need for Speed Underground. I'm trying to get my stepdad to send my Super Nintendo though, cos I am obsessed with Super Mario World!!!

I used to love playing regular NES back in the day - has anyone played Friday the 13th, or Maniac Mansion for NES?!?!?!
