I believe the truth, or ideal, is like a statue in the middle of a room. We all need to share our views, to complete the picture. In order to reach to the ulimate knowledge, we should not resent, degrade or underestimate eachother, but we should share, appreciate and open our minds to collect all the knowledge we can get in this level of existance. I feel, the more flexible is the better promoted on the 2nd level of existance.Call it reincarnation, call it heavens, call it an existance between both ends. I feel it's like a trip thru the 7 skies above, till we finally reach the ideal, whatever that may be.------------------ Sawsan Hammouda IP: Logged |

Greetings SAWSAN Hammouda. I think you are quite right to deduce that "the more flexible" is most productive, in this particular state of existence. Truly, this world is full of cabbages and Kings and it seems best to keep our eyes and ears open. Of course, at the same time, we must always keep our eye on the North Star, lest we lose our way. It is a very interesting sort of place, this 2nd level. But it is still maya. SAWSAN....thank you for sharing a philosophy which I consider similar to my own....I agree that we DO need to share our views and NOT resent, degrade or underestimate each other but to listen with an open mind...I believe we all have something of value to contribute in this great learning school on the physical plane, and "truth" comes in many different ways.....we just need to put the pieces of the puzzle together to get the whole picture.....eventually....*sigh* quote: . I feel it's like a trip thru the 7 skies above, till we finally reach the ideal, whatever that may be.
Yes...I've been taught that there are seven planes of existence, and that each must be "mastered" (i.e. knowing everything there is to know about that plane of existence), til we finally reach the 7th plane which is the Celestial Plane wherein we encounter and becme part of what people percieve of as God! It's not done in one lifetime.....but it takes many....and mastering each plane of existence is it's own adventure of spiritual growth and learning....the most difficult task is mastering this physical plane which is the first. Love, Rainbow Ps....welcome

7 levels, or a hundred, or just one...yes, indeed, the more flexible, the better. quote: we should share, appreciate and open our minds to collect all the knowledge we can get in this level of existance.
Some days, it's easier than others. We all tend to gravitate to those who think as we do. As Tink said, this world is filled with cabbages and Kings, and we all like to think we smell more like a King than a cabbage. Therein lies part of the rub: does a King have more value than a cabbage? Does a Picasso have more value than the drawing I've had on my fridge for years, that will never hang in a gallery but was created with love by my niece? Does Mother Theresa have more value than Jeffrey Dahmer? Probably not. Cabbages feed a lot of people and creatures. But sometimes they are still stinky.

stinky cabbages!Actually, what I meant to say is that the world is full of all sorts of fantastical, interesting, colorful things and it's wise and productive, I think, to keep our eyes and ears open, experience what you can, ask questions, wonder about things, explore. All the while keeping a eye on our moral compass. The value question is always a good one. I never liked Mother Theresa very much. Then again, I can't say I'm a fan of Mr Dahmer either. A things measured value, I suppose, is dependent upon that with which it is measured. The more I taste that value word, the more I don't like it. IP: Logged |

Darlin' Tink, I knew what you meant. And I loved the analogy of cabbages and Kings.I wasn't a fan of Mother T's, either...just thought they made two extremes to juxtapose. quote: The more I taste that value word, the more I don't like it.
Amen, sistah. I've often said I have no morals, only personal ethics.

Hi, y'al Glad to find you guys,I want to add that, besides of being from Egypt, I met, and befriended a lot of people round the world, from which I learn a big deal. I think, how could the world have survived without the practicality of the west, or the deep spiritual thinking of the far east, the dicipline of Europe, the persistance of Japan, the creativity of the States, the challange of China. I hate to see us all focused on our own worth, turning away from what we could see in others, and learn from. ------------------ Sawsan Hammouda IP: Logged |

Rainbow, thank you for being you. What you added is what I believe in. I also see our existance as 3; body, self and saul. The body belongs to earth,it doesn't leave it, and the saul goes back to GOD, where it belongs, the self is the one who moves according to the way the 3 lived together. If the material side was strong, the self is heavy, and the trip is long. If the spiritual side is strong, the body is lighter, and high ranked, free to move across the skies. But you should keep the balance; not too much materialistic, not too much spiritual.------------------ Sawsan Hammouda IP: Logged |
