I always wondered, why does prohets, philosophers and monks reside altitudes? What effect does an altitude have? It hit me, when I read in Linda Goodmans' Star Signs, that her Guru asked her to move to Cripple Creek, which is the highest she could get, where she lived till she moved with just her saul, and s-elf, to her next mission.

I believe it does. All the old legends say so. But I don't know why. I also have heard the islands with mountains are particularly helpful.

this puzzle in particular intrigues me fiercely. There must be a certain force only revieled in altitude, or maybe the 3rd eye is uncovered,as, maybe the lower you go, an extra veil is added before your 3rd eye, and vice versa. Maybe you have to ern a clearer vision. When you throw a bunch of materials from above, the lighter hangs up longer. So physics could give us clues to unwrap secrets beyond physics.

I think being elevated physically relates in many ways to being elevated mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The air is cleaner and crisper, the views are clearer, and nature is more predominant. You're also not being bombarded by the constant noise and energy fluctuations of "civilized" places. That in itself should help unclutter your mind and soul, give you relief and the ability to slow down, breathe and just BE for a while. Being alone and silent must also help.

I'm sure there are more reasons, perhaps related exactly to how altitude affects us in different ways, by what forces and in what ways, etc. This is a very interesting topic. Must give it more thought.

Maybe that explains why I've always had a deep down yearning to run off into the hills and live a monk-like life. Ahhh....solitude.

With Saturn in the seventh this lifetime, I've read I'm doomed to live a life with other people this time. .... I've put it off in other lifetimes...?

Very interesting topic. Eleanore, that all makes perfect sense.

Eleanore yup, islands with mountains. I found one too. During one visit, I found a little book ("You are all Sanpaku") that mentioned the phenomenon and I thought, ahhhhh that's why I love this place.

Anyhoo - I really am a big believer in the theory. It seems fiting that going higher physically would aid the process of going higher spiritually. The ole' As above, so below rule. But exactly how does it work? Something to do with those angstrom units per second stuff that Linda mentioned?

I love to search for our worth beyond our known existance. I would never find any assistance in this matter unless in Holy Books. As they are not just observatory, but informative.I wondered, Ibraham was questing universe and existance, he found the answer on the top of a mountain. Jesus was raised a long way above sea level. Moses, was traveling thru Sinai, he was called alone over the top of a mountain to recieve his message. Buda came back with his wisdom from an altitude. Linda Goodman had to move to the top of Cripple Creak, to get promoted to a higher level of knowledge.
A non-believer of GOD, when he faces an impossible situation, looks up for hope!
What is it with altitude???!!!
