Anybody following this?

What are your perceptions? I would love to know what you feel seems to be going on.

I'm just wondering if any of you have picked up the same vibes. I don't normally watch too much television. I do like to watch this though.

I have no idea. I'm so out of the loop. We got rid of our cable after not having it forever. We decided to get it, and recently got rid of it again. Sorry, I dont know. But I'm interested to find out!

Watch what. the sadness of so many knowflakes? I think it's a global knowflake knowledge. We are intuitivly affected by our global surroundings. We hurt when the rest of the world hurts. Is this what you mean?

"Lost" is a television show, on ABC, about survivors from an airplane crash. The plane was one thousand miles off course when it crashed on a tropical island. About 44 people survived; though I think now they are down to approximately 42.

Trouble is...on this tropical isle, they've been attacked by a polar bear. There's a large, unseen but loud creature that threatens them. The compass is a little...off. Some have been cured of maladies from their regular life. A radio transmission they picked up from another part of the island (in French) has been looping for 16 years.

Is it an alternate reality? We're not sure yet. Many of the survivors are still unaware of the uniqueness of their surroundings.

Gia, what do you think the significance of "Watership Down" is? Anything beyond that they are bunnies with a completely skewed idea of the world in which they have found themselves?

I love the show, but haven't tried to over-analyze it too much.

If it's an alternate reality then it's a very personal one. The island seems to give it's inhabitants what they really need to grow. I think that must mean that they are in control. Which seems to indicate they have something else in common. One that is more than just the idea of a plane wreck somewhere strange.????? I think I've solved it but don't want to spoil it for everyone.

Happy watching.

Gia! No fair! I'd really love to hear your theory. Email me, please, if you don't want to post it. Or you could put a big WARNING! DANGER! SPOILER AHEAD! at the beginning of your post.

Please?

Oh man, I really need to get E4 (Im English lol) to watch this show!! It looks really good!! Eating up the info about it so far!
"Lost averages more than 17.5 million viewers, making it the second-most-popular new show of the season, behind ABC's Desperate Housewives."
I found this kewl web site about 'Lost' people who dont know it may want to check it out and see what they think! I like the different character info... they seem to be a mix of sterotypes to more unique. http://lost-tv.com/

Bermuda Triangle? But that's in the Atlantic Ocean.

They were flying from Syndney, Australia to Los Angeles (over the Pacific Ocean). The Bermuda Triangle would be way more than a thousand miles off course (which was a reference in the 1st episode), and would require crossing over the U.S. or Mexico, which I think they would have noticed.

So sorry, that theory doesn't hold for me.
