Every Friday evening I go to my Yoga class. It's a fantastic way to end my week, and I get a lot out of it. But last night wasn't like the other nights: During the 15 minute relaxation, this guy fell asleep, and started snoring loud enough for me to hear at the front of the room! I'm sure it affected everyones concentration. Then, during a balancing posture, I think it was called "The Warrior", I fell square on my behind! To round off the night, somebody farted during a streching exercise! I don't know why it was such a bad night, maybe it was the position of the moon? lol. Anyone else interested in Yoga?IP: Logged |

I almost lost it. I had to bite my lip to keep from cracking up! The reason I got more into Yoga is that my class is offered through my college, otherwise I probably wouldn't have bothered. IP: Logged |

Hi Libra Lady,Your post made me laugh! I've been living at a yoga center for 4 months, and snoring and farting are things that have to be accepted... although they still annoy the crap out of me. There's this one guy around that goes to the moderate class every single day, we call him the farter. He's an older guy, and he literally farts all through class, and it's incredibly distracting, so I try to get on the opposite side of the room. Snoring has many a time ruined my relaxation.

OMG, that is soooo funny!!!! brings to mind a yoga class my girlfriends and I took when we were about 13-14 and the instructor started telling us to feel the energy of the earth coming up through our anus and we got the giggle fits sobad!!!! Everytime we tried to stop one of us would start up again, it was so contagious!!! (ended up with a very serious instructor asking us to leave) I have been into Yoga alot off and on over the years - such a great way to get grounded. Recently back into into an "on" period, just had to being cooped up this cold winter. Don't know why I resist so, makes me feel great!! Think I have a tendancy to live in my head too much (mars in gemini 12th house?) (lack of a sex life doesn't help, ha-ha! that and swimming and dancing are the few forms of exercise I truly enjoy!!) Was thinking about a class, thanks for the warning!!! (At least where I'd be going you can pay for single sessions!) IP: Logged |

LoL, my yoga instructor has the common sense not to use words like "anus." Think about it, it's not even necessary!! You're right, you do feel more grounded after a class, and you feel like things aren't the raging disaster you thought they were.IP: Logged |
