I just saw "The Notebook" No, I didn't read the book.. but I figured out right away the story within the story.... Oh... I weeped for ten minutes afterward. I had to have a shower to cleanse my sad sad and happy heart. My hubby liked it too. I won't tell you that he cried in my lap during a lot of it, as he is an Aries and does not like that sort of thing. Nope, I won't tell you that.IP: Logged |

I've just seen 'Finding Neverland'. So beautiful. Johhny Depp. So beautiful. Pixie, I want to see that movie. I love a good weepy. Ryan Gosling is hot. Check him out in The Believer. The movie is so inspirational and fills you with joy. There was so much love in the room afterwards.Similarly, there Big Fish too. Bitter Moon's good. So is True Romance. IP: Logged |

It's so interesting, to spot the differences, and subtle differences, in people's tastes.Maya, i'm glad you saw and loved (as I knew you would) Amelie. I had meant to ask you about that. And I can totally picture you loving the Truman Show. What else?... A Leo fan, I see. Me too, but, I loved him so much in This Boy's Life and Basketball Diaries, that I cant help being a bit disappointed with his subsequent performances, even if they are still far superior to the average acting performance. Don't tell anybody, but I liked Forget Paris and About a Boy too. I figured it was enough of a concession to my feminine side to confess my adoration for Jerry Maguire and Men Don't Leave. And I cant even pretend not to love the Joy Luck Club. So, if anybody has a problem with that, I'll be in the parking lot.... in my car, with the doors locked, and the windows rolled up, listening to Wilson Phillips and crying "like a b*tch". "Any Louis Malle fans out there?"
Hell, yeah. My Dinner With Andre is one of my absolute favorites, and I also really liked Murmer of the Heart, and Au Revoir Les Enfants. ------------------ Judgement is the antithesis of understanding. IP: Logged |
