*sigh* I just moved to the big city to live with some friends, it's great and all we're like family, although it's hard - 3 ppl living in a 1 bedroom apt! I know they care they've done so much for me but sometimes I don't feel like I belong there because I am not really supposed to be there, and I am constantly having to "hide out." My flighty Gemini cousin wants me to get an apt. in Florida - all the way across the country! As much as I love her, she is so unpredictable and changes her mind constantly. My stepdad is moving to Arizona (I suspect because of legal problems) and we don't get along at all. He is mentally abusive and emotionally insupportive - I can't stay with him because of those reasons. I'm at a point where I'm kind of trapped - falling without a parachute it seems. I'm so afraid of not having any where to go, it's on my mind constantly. People tell me not to worry, but they're not in the situation i'm in. Arrrgggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sweetheart, I am in a pretty similar situation. All I can say is be patient, take each day as it comes, smile and relax, and try to find moments for yourself to be happy... Things always have a way of working themselves out for the best. I'm not saying sit around and do nothing to help yourself, but just know that the world means you no harm, and the right thing will present itself to you, just keep your eyes open... Believe it or not Stacey I've been in your situation - many times. Having "no home" - and always seeming to be on the verge of it - seems to be the story of my life. It's a stressful feeling. All I can say is try to stay as positive as you can. Dwelling and negative thinking will make things worse. You have a roof over your head right now, so give thanks for that. IP: Logged |

I'm telling you, AZ has a lot of vortexes! It is a safe haven for the future, parent or no parent. Could it be that your father is drawn to AZ. for spiritual reasons? AZ. has many areas for spiritual healing. And of awakening of the real you. I live here in AZ. and did not realize the healing powers of this state until I did more research. Perhaps you could move with your father and then find your own support systems! Even if they are different from your father's beliefs? There are great support systems for the spiritually inclined! And some great weather!

I'm on my way! Always wanted to go there. And I'm getting tired of the New England winters. Although I do love it around here. Time for a change. Vrooom vrooooommm..... See ya in a few days Philly....

My stepdad has family in AZ. Arizona is nice, I agree.However, I've decided I'm gonna move to FL at the end of March - my cousin is buying me a ticket. 26T,
I'm thankful everyday for having friends that care enough about me to let me stay with them. It's just my best friend's mom hates me and is trying to kick me out on the street. Why? I don't know. I do need to be reminded to look on the positive side of things though! Being a Virgo it's hard not to sometimes, ugh. Ghani,
Sux you're in a similar situation! It's hard isn't it? I'm trying to keep a positive outlook. The thing is, I can't seem to find a balance. Last time I said I was gonna forget all my problems, I had bill collectors calling my house and everyone chewing me out for not "being more responsible." Well, I guess you're damned if you do and damned if you don't, huh? The minute I stop worrying about stuff, I get chewed out. I can't understand it!

Stacey,Perhaps the warm weather will be nice for you, and the change of scenery will cheer you up a bit, give you a new perspective.
It does suck when things seem to just keep piling up, I certainly had to come back here and start from scratch with a big old chip on my shoulder... but it's worth it to do for myself for the first time in a loooong time.
