I realise the reason astrology interests me so much is because I've always wanted to get along with others and to help others get along. I used to judge people on the way they came accross or my experience with them when I was younger. But ever since I've read Linda's books it has made me understand that even though people are different every sign shares an astrological vibe and this vibe can play a big part in the way you perceive a person. I guess it's made me see or look for the good in everyone I meet, including people I dont get along with (because that's merely my personal experience with them and isn't a measure of their goodness, niceness overall towards other people, their friends, their familly etc).The reason I've posted this under free will though is because I've reached a point where I'm not that sure that free will can overcome any situation or fix any relationship, or that most people would even go through the trouble of applying free will to TRY to get along (even though they are squared astrologicaly or have extremly bad aspects in their mutual charts). I have a Scorp firend and Leo friend who absolutely hate each other and however much I've tried to explain each of their personalities and the way they see things differently to each other..they don't wanna hear it. But that's just one example. It's happened a lot with me and Cancers. We don't really get along. I find out they're Cancer, I really try my hardest to use my free will, be extra nice with them, try to make them understand that just cause I'm different that doesn't make me the wicked witch from hell...but usually they're left with the same impression of me and usually it's bad or actually not so much BAD but "someone who you tread carefully arround cause you don't really know with them", like they're kind of fearful of me and would never really trust me. I can understand that but can my free will change it? In my experience so far there are situations that free will just can't change, and that sadness me. I really wish I could make people see me on a deeper level than just my sign. Like those Cancers for instance I wish they'd really know me and understand me the way I really AM, not the way some astrological influence is making them perceive me, the way I come accross to them (because I feel that's faulty). Do any of you knowflakes try to apply everything you know about astro in your relationships. Would you make the effort to get along with someone who you know you'd normally never get along with, if for no better reason than to use ur free will..and disregard the bad vibes? IP: Logged |

I just try to accept people for who they are. There is always more going on than what you see. You really dont know what is going on inside of people. Try not to judge people or take offence by their actions. Everyone is on their own path and doing the best they can with what they have. All we can do is wish them the best and let them be themselves.I strongly believe in choices and free will. No matter what your Sun Sign is, it's no excuse to not get along with someone. Maybe your friends who "hate" each other have some karma to finish up. I find that is usually the case when people dont care for one another. It's not all about their Sun Sign. Maybe they came into each others lives to teach each other a few things about life, love, hate. How they might do things different next time. Or gaining life experience and learning relationship skills. Or all of the above. You learn something from everyone you meet. Whether that person is a positive person or negative. And you attract everyone you meet into your life for a purpous. Conciously or unconsciously you ask them to come into your life to learn the things you need to from one another. It's not a "situation that free will just cant change". That person has CHOSEN not to accept the other. They are using their own free will. We are constantly making choices and using our free will. Most people unconsciously. Yes, I have made efforts to get along with people when we dont seem to get along at first. I do it because I find it hard to dislike anyone, and think it's a waste of time to hate. Even when people have "done me wrong", I cant stay mad at them for long. Everyone is operating from their own experience and perceptions of things. I truly understand this, so the things that people do dont usually dont upset me. Of course I'm human and slip up sometimes, but I get over it quickly. If you send people love and peace and chose not to let their negtive behavior effect you, usually they eventually come around or leave you alone. And if they dont come around, just go along on your merry way. Love conquers all. Just my opinion of things.  IP: Logged |

Hi Aries-chick!  It's funny for me you should ask this question cause I'm Aries sun/Cancer rising so I guess in my case the 2 pretty much have to get along! (or not!  ) In my case the 2 aren't aspected (normally the signs would be square) but still the air/fire seem to operate pretty independently of each other, sometimes tempering, sometimes dousing the fire (lately seems to be the case!) So maybe that could be the case? If you could use the differences? (Anyways, that's what I'm trying to do) each has its strength - but if others can't meet us halfway.... Life is so short on free time I like to try to keep those associations that aren't sympatico with my personality to a minimum, but if it's work or family sometimes you don't have the choice... So then you do have to bite the bullet and get along. Sometimes those you would avoid are thrown into our life for a lesson they can teach us, we can't even fathom yet, so try to have patience.... (Can't believe this  is saying this!!!!  ) IP: Logged |

Thanx 26T .. that's a nice thought. I try my best to send everyone positive feelings, they don't always respond but I guess that's their choice. Love conquers all - I really want that to be true, part of me believes that, then there's my Cappy moon - oh so skeptical Hey delerious  , yeah using both influences to find a middle road would be best, if only it were easier lol hehe yep patience..Aries doesn't get many brownie points in that area Thx again 2 both of you IP: Logged | |
