This is hilarious. You can watch the video here: http://www.nbc4.tv/news/4210736/detail.html

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers aren't talking turkey in Hancock County, they're running from one, NBC 4 reported.

At one point, a trooper was even held hostage in his own cruiser by a bird that was a little too curious.

So exactly what is it about a man in uniform that the turkey finds so fascinating?

One of the feathery incidents started -- as so many run-ins with the law do -- as a routine traffic stop. As a trooper was talking to a driver he pulled over, a turkey came out of a local field and walked up to the vehicle and stood next to the trooper.

The officer tried to walk around the car, but the turkey followed … all the way back to his cruiser.

The trooper received no sympathy from his partner.

"It's chasing me around," the trooper said while laughing. "I can't get out of the car without it following me."

"That's a big bird," his partner said. "I think he likes you."

Two days later, a man called for help because a turkey had cornered him in his vehicle.

Another trooper got out of his car to make sure the way was clear, but the turkey chased him back to his cruiser. The man who had called for help started taking pictures of the amusing scene.

The trooper was held hostage in his cruiser for 20 minutes while the turkey circled the vehicle and even got onto the hood. After some fancy pecking at the paint job, the turkey eventually got back on solid ground.

A wildlife officer had to assist the officers by trapping the turkey and taking him to a more welcoming territory.

Bad news...

The turkey's dead. We live close to Hancock County and my boyfriend works at a local news station. He called this morning to tell me that he got sent over to report on this today. Check me out with the inside scoop!(uhhh... on the... turkey...!) I'm privy to all sorts of important info! LOL

LMAO!
One year, at my mom's house/farm, about 100 wild turkeys gathered. they were there for weeks! On the cars, in trees, crapping everywhere, on the corral fences, making themselves at home by chasing the horses out of their stalls and sleeping there! They were coming up to the house to be fed, luckly my mom had feed. You know how hunters like, stalk in the woods, waiting, and drooling at the chance to shoot a wild turkey? They even have those turkey "callers," Well they were chillin' with my Mom like she was The Pied Piper or something! People from the area were asking if they could hunt them, my Mom said "NO!"
It was really funny seeing so many of them at one time! We also had geese that were like watch dogs! They'd come running up to any approaching car and trap the people inside, until my Mom came out ans shooed them away!

The thread that just won't die! Does anyone watch Keith Olbermann? I found out yesterday that this turkey story was his #1 story a few weeks ago and my boyfriend's story was the one he used. He was on there and we had no idea until yesterday. But he's pretty excited about it, though! Yay!
