LostInStrangeWorld,

Ahhh, Thorshammer- you're so kind!
You've studied some pretty fascinating subjects, haven't you? I have found choosing a career path the most troubling dilemma of my life; I've anaylised the matter from every angle by now! There are so many things I would like to do, could do-but at the end of the day I need to do something meaningful- to make a difference, but also which is fulfilling to the mind, body (ie, materialistic- we all need to be to some extent).....and soul.
Basically, the idea of tying myself down to one career path has frightened me a lot. I mean, choosing the career, studying for it at university for 4 years or more (incurring over £15,000 debt) and THEN finding out it was the wrong one all along! Perhaps I have the Peter-Pan bug! Or I'm too complicated for my own good! I don't know! I think I may order that career analysis from Liz Greene some time- I need to get a proper chart done some time.

Anyway, before I started to waffle, the point I was going to make was I think, when my son is older, I might go in the direction of holistic therapies.

Gosh, I'm so glad I've returned to Linda-land! Even if I do suffer from terrible & dark clouds of skepticism, there are some wonderful people here who I can discuss matters with that I'll NEVER get to elsewhere!

My boyfriend rolls his eyes every Time I mention nutrition. I can't come out with things like "I wonder- Can there be a balance between selfishness and selflessness?" without him making fun of me. We have a deep karmic bond, and I'm sure we were meant to be together.....but the teachings in 'Gooberz' get me wondering. I wish an 'angel' would transcend interdimensionally to help me find the answers. Within my soul I'm screaming out to them, wherever they are, to guide me: "Do Twin S-elves, as descibed in Gooberz.....As Adam & Eve, As Isis/Osiris.....As the Greek myth...REALLY EXIST? OR NOT?! And IF SO, then where can I find him?!"

Is Neptune in the 12th house casting spells of disillusionment?
Or maybe...his pieces are scattered. Seth. Thunderbolt path.....

Then I read the link which gives different interpretations on moon conjunct pluto. One says I tend to idealise a lot. Too much.
Oh well, in Time, I'll knOw!!!!! (Maybe. LOL!)

I'm just greatful that here, in Linda-land, there is a spiritual 'Oasis'. Here, at last, I can meet people who are deep, sensitive, spiritual, and like me- completely enchanted by all that is mysterious and mystical.

To change the subject, slightly.....(!)

There just happened to be a programme on TV yesterday, Thorshammer, called 'Home on the Range' about ranches near Yellowstone and elsewhere! Gosh, wildly expensive around there, eh?!! Are they cheaper elsewhere?! If you find any bargains, I'll come and buy one, then I'll bring in some cheeky pet pigs (I think pigs are adorable), dogs, cats, donkeys, rats (rescued domestic ones).....Oh, why not- I might as well just have the lot- every animal who comes knocking with hoof, claw, hand, foot, fin or paw! (May have missed one or two? 'Nuff of that!).

Dr Dolittle was on too. Some parts of the film were daft, but when he sang his song 'Like animals', in court- the words started to get better and better and my heart swelled with admiration and delight. I must find the words to that song and write them down! Another thing, with a similar theme is a beautiful poem called 'Kindred'..... oh dear I'll have to find out who it's by!
(Its amazing how beams of light from the Oober galaxy leak through in so many various places!- On TV, in the printed media, in fragments of a phrase from people passing by.....in literature/art...in movies..)

Anyway, I really ought to ascend the astral ladder and depart! I'm a glutton for sleep! (Or a martyr!).

Nice lips!

P.S. Did you find anything revealing on Crystal-links? I had a peek, but there is SO MUCH. I began to read what was meant to be the words of Horus (in the Emerald tablets, I think). But it sounded quite patriarchal & dogmatic, certainly in the beginning. Parts of it were interesting though. But if you found anything really, deeply inspiring- do let me know- I will thus return to delve within its depths and TRANSCEND!

okay, now i can respond...I just didnt want to go into one of my speeches in that subject format. lol.

I have studied and am still studying. My ex brother in law called me a "professional student." I didnt really know how to take it from someone who didnt have a high school education, but I just took it.

Ironically you talked about career paths, A couple of months ago, I was at the library, they had this huge book sale, all hardcovers for ten cents and all soft covers for five cents. I found a book called, "DO WHAT YOU ARE", by Paul D. Tieger adn Barbara Barron-Tieger. It made me laugh, because I had found out what I wanted to do, and I wondered who I was buying this book for, so it you want it, I will mail it to you...if you really want it.

Anyhow, I didnt really know what I was going to be until I was 30! I always knew I was a writer, but being a Sagi, I had to do someting else, which brings in many other occupations.

I have been a dishwasher, first job at 14 (actually McDonalds was first job,but I left on my break) to many warehouse jobs, to working at the airport in chicago, to bartender, and Restaurant manager, to Roofer (got a nice tar burn on my left wrist), also working as a floor installer that led me to starting a floor business, then getting the wonderful Idea to add radiant heat to my business (installation) to beat the other competitors, got married, wanted to go to massage school, wife wouldnt let me, so I went to HVAC school for Radiant, got a divorce, a month after graduating from HVAC school, I was off to Utah to become a Massage Therapist.

NOW

In between those, I have been in the Navy, gone to Two Colleges and one University, never finishing one to get a degree, well almost finished one.

And I count going to Massage school, HVAC, and Flooring/Radiant, the most important! Heck I had a scholarship to play football at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, this is one of the elite and stuffy schools. I had no intention of learning, I was a football player, but I woke up and got out, and I love who I am and what I do.

why am I telling you this, I know people with Masters and PHDS. Phds that are massage therapist. I know people with bachelor degrees that are restaurant managers at McDonald and I know two Marines that are managers at jiffy Lubes (a oil changing facility for cars)

Sometimes when you have all the same people going for the same degree, and no desire to throw some fire, they get bored in what they are doing.

The secret of success is to find what you want to do in the smallest way. if your not sure, then do something that doesnt take four years, a degree wont necessarily get you were you want to go, if you dont have the DRIVE. School cant teach you the DRIVE, they can tell you to read and find it, something you could have done on your own. School (nowadays) is a classic money making business.

Lets say you became Vet Assistant, is there any reason why you cant still take correspondence courses that enhance your profession that you love (and take you to a higher level than your co-workers)and want to do forever with out worrying about someone popping up with no experience, but a college degree that says they have more rank over you.....poppycrock!!!

Here in the states, thats what is wrong, you have someone that has been doing a job of 25 years, she/he has been comfortable and lazy for those years in not taking night classes or hobbies, because they believed their job was safe, then along comes the little kid, who has done four years of college:studying, drinking, drinking, partying, growing up in the youth world. but who has no experience in the real world, takes the older persons job (who is only to blame, because they never backed their profession up in the first place, because they probably hated it anyway and just did it cause it was there)

If you choose, Choose wisely, but take your time, the right thing will come to you. and if you think its the right thing, research it, research it and research it some more!!

You can do anything and everything. take care of your home: your body: its the only TRUE home you have!! if you do this, you will live happy and long, and finish every goal you want to!!

I am going back to school to get a associate in Avionics Science, I want to fly like John Denver!! And after that..theres so much more I will accomplish and I am 35 now!! Its so much fun!!!

so Holistic Therapies is so much fun, you can do it and its a area that branches like the most wonderful tree!

I hope a angel comes to you, and lets you know about your boyfriend, try looking in the mirror and asking the question when the home is quiet and alone.

We love you here in LindaLand, there is so much brightness, I can feel it all the time!!!

ranches are expensive, depending on where you live. by yellowstone..wee doggie!!! yeah thats expensive!!!

but here in Utah, its not that bad, the farther you are from the city, the cheaper it gets, but the farther you are away, the harder it is to get clientele (massage), so I figure that if I get it one day, I will have to do the "fly on in" method, advertise online and have enlightened and enchanted people come to learn bout massage for horses and humans.

The Journey (I had learned at age 22) to find and learn things is more enlightened than staying at home and going down to the city to learn something. If you travel away from your home (a good distance) your always bound to find better and more magic in learning. The ones that search long and far for the truth always get a better reward, in my experiences. you get to meet new souls and the old ones dont wear you down (unintentionally) by seeing you everyday, and stopping you from you goal!

Utah is pig country and turkey country!! lol. lots of farms around the state.

The Dr. Doolittle books are definately better than the movie.

find that poem, it sounds so familiar..

I found the Crystal links a long time ago, and I had them on my lap top, that I fried. I forgot about them until Kathleen brought them back up. so I will have to get into them later. I like to print those things out, put them in a three ring notebook and then lay on the couch and read them. I always get something out of them once I fall asleep. good dreams and such. messages maybe!

The Nag Hamadi Library does that to me...I will read passages and chapters and WHOOOSH!! all kind of things. lol.

I find that when you read something like the EMerald tablets, you have to be looking for something in them, before you start to read it. that always makes it better for me. I hope your sleeping good, your like 9 hours from here, i think...about 4 in the morning there....

Thankyou so much for sharing those words of light and wisdom with me!

It was a good idea to post this here as I do tend to 'waffle', yes.

I slept alright, thankyou- only I got woken up by a bird singing at 5:30 as I'd left my window open! Ho ho!

I've thought about studying massage. You may laugh but I got the idea partly because, my dog (one of the greatest companions and loyal friends I'll ever have in my life) use to like me to stroke him for hours!

Have you ever seen that episode of Seinfeld where George & Elain visit Jerry's massage parlour? Ho ho

Anyway, I shan't waffle this time.

That poem I was on about was actually called 'The Voice of The Voiceless' by Ella Wheeler Wilcox.

Yep the dog can do it to you. I love massaging them and horses. ANimals are so much more relaxed than people. they know you love them. I dont know about over there, but there is a correspondence course you can take by mail and get a certificate for feline and canine massage.

havent seen the sienfeld episode, and i love that show. tv kinda gives massage a different perspective for the world to see. I will find it on dvd, if its out yet.

have you heard of jan fennell, she is over there
http://www.janfennellthedoglistener.com/

Just like horses and humans, you have to understand the animal before u massage it.

I dated a girl that worked for a petco store here, and she would come home with bites and nips from dogs when she was grooming them. once she read one of jan's books it never happened again!!

wish i was over there, i would take her courses in a heart beat.
