Hey BoE!
Thank you for taking an interest!
Ironically enough, not so well actually, our summer gig got moved to a time when most of us couldn't make it, so that's that stuffed. We may get a gig in September.
Plus, the bassist is revolting against me 'controlling' the band. Not true, I'm just the only one who's bothered to write any songs. So they procceeded to have a rehearsal without me 'because it was important and we had to have it'. But that was a while ago.... oh yeah, and apparently my song style is 'too indy'.
nuts to that!
Haha I thought I was too poppy actually!

So anywho.. I'm sure we'll get it together in a while. I don't think we're too bad for a band where none of us knew how to play our instruments about a year ago.

So, how's the music in your life going?
How are you BoE? And how's your guitar?

LOL, the bassist then? Yeah, I've got one of those. They are "the battling Sags". One is mad, because he thinks the other is trying to control everything. He's a handful.
I had to suck up my pride, and return to them unfortunately. I couldn't find anyone else, so I decided that a battling band was better than none at all. I keep looking for a new opportunity though.
I like Indy, tell them to write their own songs, or stick it.
What genre were you aiming for?
Punk or something?
You will get somemore gigs though. I have to stick with my band til August 13th because of one. I'm glad you ARE writing songs though. I don't practice with my band enough to write any. We are doing covers right now. I do write the occasional song on my own, but don't finish them, because I need to hear the drum parts, and can't really write solo's without hearing the rythm behind it. My guitar...well it's shocking me! It's weird, have to go get that checked out....
Glad to hear you are pregressing well musically though. Bands are a very hard thing to keep together. Good luck with it.

Punk? No not punk! Although I like some punk stuff though.
To be honest, I don't actually know what's meant be indie anymore, apart from that it means 'independant music' which is way too vague for me to know what she thinks about it really!
We weren't aiming for anything in particular... or I wasn't at least! She wants 'something heavier'. Her and the drummer did this thing together which seems like the best thing since sliced bread the way they seemingly effortlessly jammed this sh*t. I thought it was good actually I'm pretty gutted I wasn't a part of it. I'm starting to think the basist resents my songs now... which is making me feel guilty and immature to even still like them considering some of it is pretty early unevolved stuff.

But yeah, anyway, nuts to her.

You've said about your Sag bandmates before.... I would have thought two Saggies would have got along well with each other!

Well I hope that works out! Even if it doesn't work out, it's still a good learning experience. Just checking in on it. BTW, if you want some good Indie, go pick up one of the Smith's CD's.
