Florida Police Search for Naked Tickler Email this StoryJul 21, 8:35 PM (ET) NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Police say one man could be responsible for a string of bizarre break-ins over four years involving a naked perpetrator who sometimes tickles the feet of sleeping elderly women.
The latest break-ins happened Saturday and Sunday in two separate homes, but investigators suspect the same man is responsible for five similar, unsolved cases reported in the area since 2001. New Smyrna Beach police ay they've been unable to catch him in part because they haven't had much evidence. The incidents vary slightly, but most of the victims are over 60, said police Cmdr. Wade Kirby. Usually the intruder is naked, but sometimes partially clothed, Kirby said. Sometimes he tickles the women's feet, as he allegedly did Saturday night, and sometimes he's discovered and flees before touching them, Kirby said. Each time the man ran off after being noticed. Kirby said police know only that the suspect is white, thin and appears young. "There's not been a lot to go on there," he said. New Smyrna Beach is 44 miles northeast of Orlando. IP: Logged |

It has to be some type of prank, right? You don't think some weirdo is actually taking pleasure in this, do you? IP: Logged |

Well if he's young I think it's most likely a prank. But only one guy is responsible for this...he must be getting some perverse pleasure out of it if he's doing this alone?!?IP: Logged |

Lovely ~ I am in Northern Calif., in Marin County.AcousticG ~ I've been doing good, thank you for asking. I'm working full time this week and next week at a temp job + overtime. It's tiring and last night I went to see the author of the book I'm reading, Elizabeth Kostova, author of The Historian. That was really neat. I did try and watch INXS but I keep missing the concert show because my TV guide doesn't list it for Tuesday nights. Then the TV guide lists it at 9:30 when it's on at 9 p.m. Anyhow so far I think J.D. is the best one. I really don't see how a girl would get it because to me, they are not a band that would image a girl singer. IP: Logged |

Nephthys, I'm familiar with Marin. I have good friends in Mill Valley. I was just up in Calistoga two weeks ago. Nice. Did you ever hear of Calistoga Ranch. Magnificent!! The town St. Helena.. oh.. I love it. It reminds me so much of Laguna Beach, where I live, but better preserved.IP: Logged |

Lovely ~ Oh, you live in Laguna Beach? Is that in Southern Cali? Near L.A.? Right now I'm doing a temp job in Corte Madera, just minutes from Mill Valley and it's been so cold and foggy there!!! But just 10-15 minutes up north to where I live in San Rafael, is nice, warm and sunny. I never went to Calistoga but my parents used to go all the time. IP: Logged |

Hi Nephthys~So sorry i deserted my own thread~ Yes, LB is in SoCal.. a great place to live. The water is much warmer here But YOU MUST go visit St. Helena or Calistoga sometime. It's so wonderful and charming and they have some great little restaurants. I hope you make it out there sometime. You are so close!! IP: Logged |
