Hey ya'll (er, who still know me 'round these parts ) -

Here's an e-mail that Meg and I wrote this evening to her 10,000 Grandmas and Grandpas:

Hello Grandparents -

I had a busy day today.
I tried to bite Daddy because I was mad that Mom abandoned me to go to
the commissary.
I was then put in my crib.

I also got to swim in my turtle pool and help Mommy pull weeds.
I put the weeds in the pool. They looked neat floating around there.
I also got to see the sprinkler:

I like the sprinkler.

After that, Mommy and me went to a vegetable stand.
The people there scared me so I hid between Mommy's legs.
The man was nice and gave me a plum.
My new favorite food is plums.
They taste good and are sticky, too.

For dinner we had a bunch of stuff and I liked the corn:

It was on the cob and I had never had it that way before.
Daddy showed me how to eat it that way and put butter and pepper on it.
My old favorite food is corn but I still like it, too.

We went outside and watered the plants.
Mommy sprayed me with the water and I laughed.
My pants got soggy and fell off though.
It's hard to run with soggy pants.

After that I got a bath.
Baths are fun and I like my duck that squirts soap.
He squirts soap and then Mommy or Daddy or me pours water to get it off.

After that Mommy read me a story.
The story was Counting Kisses.
I know that it says, "My tired little baby do you need a kiss?" and
then, "Ten little kisses on teeny tiny toes," so I held my foot out
for Mommy when she said the name.
Mommy laughed a lot when I did that.
Mommy also laughs when I pretend to take a vitamin out of my
Flinstone's cap and give it to her.

Then I was put to bed and Mommy said that I had to go to sleep so I
could grow up big and strong and smart and good. So I guess I have to
go to sleep.

So goodnight Grandmas and Grandpas,
Meghan

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I love her!
Thank you for the 'baby' fix.
Not such a baby anymore, I love when they are 'independent' yet still 'baby'.
Clear identities but needing reassurance.
Her eyes are so dreamy. Intelligent for sure!!!
In your opinion.. old soul?
My son is a total old soul.
My friend asked me that question the other day, and it got me thinking about the people I know, and on a gut reaction, if I think they are old souls or not.
You, Proxie, are definately an old soul.
What do you think?

Hey Proxieme!!! Don't run too far away from cyberhome without leaving us some bit and byte breadcrumbs to follow to find you. I am so far away from things right now, I rarely have computer access, but I have been thinking about you occasionally. I hope all is well in you life. For some reason I feel like you are having some stress and have been for weeks. I hope it is all nothing and that your days are happy and joyous. If you ever need anything, Trillian can always find me. Thanks for the pix of the cutie pie.

pixelp - I know, it's bittersweet seeing my baby turn into a toddler; such an independent little one she is, too.
I can't say if she's an old soul, but she is scary smart (and at times sweet and helpful - she was wiping down the windows with a burp cloth yesterday).
She brushes my hair now, such a sweet feeling; and she'll sit and examine mine and Jase's faces, tracing our contours with her little baby fingers.
"No"'s her new word - NoNoNoNoNO!
She'll even answer, "Nooo," when I ask, "May I kiss you?" and try to evade.
I'll kiss her anyway (as is a Mommy's right) and she grins and giggles (most of the time - other times I'll get a stern, furrowed brow).
You'll also see a stuffed animal or bit of food go sailing and hear a loud but small, "Uhh-oooh!" - the other big word in vogue right now.

FK - Trillian has my e-mail addy; I don't want to post it here.
You have insight - I have had a few hard weeks.

Thank ya'll for your warm wishes and "Aahhhs!"

Thanks for the story.
I love hearing all about this!!!
I really do.
I love when my daughter brushes .. er.. plays with my hair.
(Can't brush curls)
She grabs her box of hair stuff, and stations me, and glams me up. I love it!!!
I feel so close to her.

The other day, our friend was coming over for a beer on our patio, and I told him he'd better be prepared for my 'beauty', as Claire made me into a princess, and I even had a diva crown. He went through the motions of looking shocked and amazed by my 'beauty'.. he hee. ( picture, if you will, clips all over my scalp, a tiara, askew... and frizz popping out here and there standing at interesting angles.)
She's good!

awwwwwwwww... I can just picture Meg tracing your face. ( and you prerending to eat her hand when she does it)
