I'd like to know what Shakira is singing about in her new song featuring Alejandro Sanz. I love their voices together. Just a general idea of what they're singing about would be great  Here's the song... La Tortura (I'm guessing that means The Torture). Ay payita mía

Try an online translator?I know some Spanish... but its sooooooo rusty. The title is The Torture. I can pick out some words like poesia = poetry, and alegria = happiness. So... the first line means something about poetry and happiness  Next is something like I don't ask that all days be sunny. I don't ask that every Friday is a party. Tampoco te pido que vuelvas rogando perdon? I have no idea... something about pardon though. Then its something about "with the eyes"(con los ojos). Y hablando de ella = And speaking of her. Are you a fan of Shakira? That is so cool you like her song, even w/o knowing the words. I love Shakira, and my Cancer who also knows no spanish is always prompting me to turn the volume up when I play her CD's

I have her new album. How can I not support a fellow colombian?
My favorite tracks on her new album are 1, 4, and 7. I love the others but those are my favorites.

Well, yes, Alejandro Sanz is big in Spain... He has been since 1991… I’m not a fan of his… But I must admit he is getting better with age…If you are interested, there you have the fanclub website… It’s in Spanish but you still can see some nice pics (under “Album de fotos”) and some videos (Some of them in English…).

MG what are the titles of those tracks, tracks 1, 4, 7?P_S, I love Ojos Asi! Great song to dance to! Don't exactly understand the lyrics to the song though Steelrose, thanks for that link. I guess guys get better with age Havent heard of anyone with a voice like Alejandros. Oh yes definitely. No one can transalate it into english exactly as it should be. her words are so deep.

I also love "Donde Estas Corazon" or "Where are you my heart". Shakira rocks, her music has such a calming effect on me, such emotion. I love the musical tone to Ojos Asi, I wish there were more songs out there with an Arabic mix. Its so hard to translate any language, the grammar rules being changed and all. My bf didn't know a word of Spanish when we first met. He's picked up a lot, and is even able to speak some phrases. I do my best to translate, but there's no equivalant for some words and sometimes people speak too rapidly for him to grasp. I finally understood just how weird/difficult it really is when I took a course in German. I was so lost, its weird to not know what the heck people are saying. I'd be doing my homework and have English, Spanish, and German grammar rules in my mind at the same time aggghhh
