Today MSN had a "20 best excuses for calling in sick" list.

Included were:

I was sprayed by a skunk.

I tripped over my dog and was knocked unconscious.

My bus broke down and was held up by robbers.

I was arrested as a result of mistaken identity.

I forgot to come back to work after lunch.

I couldn't find my shoes.

I hurt myself bowling.

I was spit on by a venomous snake.

I totaled my wife's jeep in a collision with a cow.

A hitman was looking for me.

My curlers burned my hair and I had to go to the hairdresser.

I eloped.

My brain went to sleep and I couldn't wake it up.

My cat unplugged my alarm clock.

I had to be there for my husband's grand jury trial.

I had to ship my grandmother's bones to India.

I forgot what day of the week it was.

Someone slipped drugs in my drink last night.

A tree fell on my car.

My monkey died.

*- Not that I'm saying it's a good thing... but come on.

My last excuse: I can't find my car keys.

So, are there any good ones that you can add to the list?

Bah! I can't call in sick!!!

That would be a funny converation, tho.

Me: Hello Self,

I can't come to work today because I hurt myself bowling.

Self: That's funny. You seemed fine when we woke up this morning. Take your @ss to work!!

“I eloped” lol
If I had to use one, it would be “Someone slipped drugs in my drink last night” it’s the most realistic.

Couldn't find my car keys - now that one happens all too often.

I had to ship my grandmother's bones to India?! That is so far fetched and strange that people may actually believe it.

another one -"The lid on my travel mug came off and dumped coffee all over me in the car, so I had to go all the way back home to change". This actually happened to me. It's not always easy having a Sagittarius ascendant, I tell ya - you tend to get your clothes messed up alot

Libra: Self employed? Nice Do you have people working for you? If so, have you received any crazy excuses from employees?

Blue: They are funny, aren't they? Makes you wonder when someone says "I went to lunch and forgot to come back"

Water: Really?!

Lion: (didn't mean to put you last... going in order) I know what you mean. I've come to expect that every time I wear white, something is going to fly through the air and hit it.

The first night I met the Capricorn... I was bartending and walked right into a glass door!! With drinks in hand!! Both him and his friend witnessed I guess being clumsy can also be endearing.
