You thought the opposite I think.. ..nearly everyone I know got red hammer, except for one guy!

Wierd, I guessed red hammer, I saw the picture of it in my mind, and knowing me (i don't like the color red, and I don't like hammers- I would have normally guess a yellow screwdriver (afterthought), BUT NO, red hammer popped up) but imagine how you'd feel guessing the answer??...especially after doing sums...how strange!

Do you think it was just a psychic moment? Or is there really a trick to this? I'm thinking I was malleable enough to fall for the subliminal thing(Whatever it is.)

Hmm I had never seen this test before, but I instantly thought "silver" and "screwdriver" the first time I read that line, but then when I re-read it I kind of "clicked" and thought "oh they want me to think 'red' and 'hammer'" - how intriguing!

Sun CHild I suspect it has to do with how our minds naturally organize thought, and things like red and hammer are somehow more closely asscoiated to performing numerical calculatiosn than other colors and concepts of tools. Just a guess, but hat's usualy how games like this work.

I think I've seen this before, because I thought, "Oh, red hammer," at the end as if that was bound to be the answer.

I think it's just a matter of doing things quickly. If you're associating a color with a tool, you think about the tool first, and then the color that matches the tool. Hammer-red makes sense to me.

If I were doing things slowly I'd be creative, and be ok with a blue hammer, but red is the color most associated with tools and tool boxes, so that's why I think my brain went there.

This is another one I found ages ago..same thing

Check out the following exercise. There's no trick or surprise. Just follow these instructions, and answer the questions one at a time and as quickly as you can!
Again, as quickly as you can but don't advance until you've done each of them...really. Now, ARROW down (but not too fast, you might miss something.

You're thinking of a carrot right?
If not, you're among the 2% of the population whose minds are warped
enough to think of something else.
98% of people will answer with carrot when given this exercise.

Hhhmmmm...all my tools are mostly black.
Some red..yellow..green..blue..
but my favorite hand tools are black....or unpainted wood handled.
I hate red tools.
I paint them black or grip tape on the handles.
And alot of just plain steel colored ones.

OK! Edited!
Just saw the new test!
Got pole beans and pod pea vines.
Ok....I guess I am weird.

My brother did it and got red wrench. Red seems to be a popular color.
And wrench is also popular.
