being FFA that it is... i think i should ask fello knowflakes about this here. alredy having quit engineering mid-way i paln to do programming from NIIT. what i'm looking for is certification courses like in C, C++ and java. some say directly jump to java and some say do the c & c++ base first. can any knowflake having programming experience tell me what course would be better.

also, what in a chart might indicate connection with computers?

Look for placement of Uranus?

I think you could jump to Java/j2ee or .NET directly. If you are a c++ programmer, its difficult to write java programs.

Although lot of device level programs and compilers are still written in c++.

To be better than tons of ordinary programmers, do not rely on a plain course alone. Study SQL Queries thoroughly, study solution architectures and Object Oriented ANalysis and design. LAst but not the least, learn important data structures like BTRee and the algorithms like mergesort, encryption, tree traversal and graphs. Its difficult and hard work but this will give you the assured job over just a plain vanilla coder.

Arre yaar, get a university degree also. Go for something like BBA or some correspondence course BCA. Indian employers are highly primitive and want to see that paper. Bill Gates would not have got a job in India. You can learn whatever I have recommended in about 6-9 months and can then easily work in Infosys also but you must have a degree.
