I have just finished re-watching the movie,Troy, and I am disappointed by its ending. But before I carry on, let me just say that I don't know the whole story to Troy. So, I may be wrong in some aspects.I am rather cross that Paris killed Achilles in the movie. In it, Paris is made such a weakling and yet he kills Achilles, the strongest guy in the film. I mean, when Paris fought Argammemon's brother, he is stabbed in the thigh and runs to his brother, Hector. The character of Paris doesn't impress me much. Someone stronger should have killed Achilles, in the movie. ( but I don't really know if Paris was really such a weak person. But in the film , he is). What do you think? IP: Logged |

Hey Yang! Instead of starting a new thread... Brownie recipe If you have any questions or cant read any parts, just say and Ill try to help! :-) And, some changes! * If you dont object, swap the margerine for butter. * Add a spoonfull of normal double cream to the ingredients at the end, and stir in. * And unless you have a fan oven, bake for approx 40 mins, but be careful and check when you smell the lovely brownie smell, its almost ready then! Should touch brownie and it should be firm but squish in a bit when you press down. The more moist you want them, take them out sooner. IP: Logged |

And yep, from my memories, Paris is cute, but a real wimp!! And I prefered Hector personally (in the film version anyways) more!!IP: Logged |

Well… In Homer’s Iliad, Paris kills Achilles… I don’t know if in the real story Paris is such a weakling but he was certainly an irresponsible womaniser not known by his bravery in the battle… Hector, his brother, was the hero like in the film…I didn’t like lovely and sexy Achilles being killed either but that’s how the story goes. Changing the end just for Holywood shake would have been a crime.

same with AlexanderIt wasn't enough for man to conguer and penetrate a woman he also wanted to overcome and penetrate his own gender, complete domination this is what we must reverse, a curse this need for power and complete control we are all one brothers and sisters IP: Logged |

I think in the Iliad, Paris killed Achilles guided by Apoll God of Light. The movie was ok, but I didn't like how they minimized the whole part of the Gods, I mean it was the Gods who started the whole thing with the Judgement of Paris. It made the whole thing come off a lot less mystical, and the feelign of fate was lost.IP: Logged |
