Hi there. My baby is due in May, will likely be a Gemini like me

I would love to know your favourite names. I don't know whether it will be a boy or a girl yet.

Girls....... For some reason, I always liked the names Blanche or Bryony. No idea why. Some M names can sound quite good too...

Boys... When I was younger I loved J names like Jake and Jack but why not call your kid Cornelius, lol that sounds cool.

Do you have a baby name book handy?

I like the name "Belina Rose" for a girl (Rose pronounced "roh-say", like the wine).Would love to name my daughter this someday. It is French for "Rose Goddess."

For a boy, I've always like how "James" sounded. So dignified and strong.

Good luck!

I like Ayana Or Aryana.

I think Aryana means "Eternal Bloom" and is a Native American name. I can recall reading somewhere. I'd definitely pick one of these when I become a mother.

On the show Gilmore Girls, the character Logan has a sister named Honor, which I think is a really cool name for a girl. Don't know if you'd want to name your kid after a character on a TV show though. But it's cooler than Chastity or Felicity.

Sort of in the same vein, I like Royal for either a boy's or girl's name. I think I'm the only person that does. LOL.

Avoid names that are actually an activity, skill or trade, like Hunter, Walker, Cooper, Scout, Porter, Hiker, Plumber, Cobbler, etc. Not only are they trendy, they're pretentious.

Please please do not go for Dakota, or any other state name for that matter. If you want an Native America name, try to go for one that isn't either a state or a state capital.

Emma is very popular right now, but a great name. Virginia is another good one, although not so popular at the moment.

Jacob is very popular right now too, and a good name. As generic as it seems, John's a good solid name too. If you want something more interesting but not too weird, go for Ian, which is John, but in Gaelic. Phillip and Jason are other really good ones.

There's a number of other Biblical names I like a lot: Adam, Joshua, Daniel, Solomon, Salome, Jael (my Hebrew name), Miriam, Joseph, Veronica, Isaac, James, Thomas.

I like Alexander, Alec and Alexandria a lot myself. Lex, Lexia and Lexus are nice, but were very trendy in the 90's.

I like the girl's name Portia, and it's way cooler than Mercedes. I like Diane too.

I hate my own given name (which I don't go by) - Angela - but I like Angelina, Angelica or Angelique.

How about ....

Tula For a girl (sounds like Two-lah)

Duelly for a boy (sounds a little like Deux-lee) You could even spell it like that.

Whitney, for a girl - Whittley for a boy - cuz Gems are so darn witty!

Ducharme (deux-charms) boy or girl.

Andro/Andra just like them.

Ok, and non-Gemini names, sign neutral -

Arianna, Artimus,
Gwennie, Gwendolynn, Guenivere

and Joe. lol...just threw that in because I got nothing else at the moment.

Hunter is very masculine.

I think Darliene, Rose, Lorelei, and Sarabeth are sweet girl names.

Boys:
Hunter, Ben (Benjamin), James. Cant think of any others..

Have you checked out www.behindthename.com ? Its fab, you have several search options too, you can choose to have the babys name meaning a certain thing too, like beautiful, or strong and see all the name which contain that meaning.

As for me, I like:
Boys - Jake, Sam, Nathan, Rowan, Ethan, Fin and Rufus.
Girls - Kat, Liv, Bree, Maria, Josie, Isobella, Alana and Beryl.

Boy: Job, Adolph, Oedipus
Girl: Delilah

Totally kidding!

Planet Soul did remind me of a favorite: Drew. You can tack 'An' on to the front to make it proper, but I like the name Drew.

Other boy names: Rock (much more eccentric version of Peter), Hank (Short for Henry), David, Noah, Jack (short for John), Garth (but only if you don't live where country music is popular)

The coolest girl name ever is: Zoe
Other girl names: Sophia (Wisdom in Greek), Dominique, Jane, Olivia, Ophelia

(I'm really struggling with the girl names)

I think the important thing is choosing a name that will feel comfortable in childhood as well as adulthood. I feel I have a kid's name, and regardless of my Gemini Ascendant it isn't cool to this Capricorn Sun.

Congratulations, Listens to Trees!!
I actually like place names for people. Since I saw the Life of David Gale I've liked Berlin as a name for a girl.

P.S. The other day I came across a girl named Milan. Another European city, thought I would add it to the list.
