Lots of rain and gray skys here this time of year. We've only had one flood warning yet though, which is mild... and I don't think we've had any actual flooding. We'll have to wait and see... the REAL flooding usually comes in February. (That's when we get to see the Ding Dongs living next to rivers and creeks on the news whining that their house flooded again.)

The temperature has been in the low to mid 40's F (4-7 C).

I'm ready for it to start warming up and stop raining.

Unfortunately, I have a pretty long wait.

It is uncommonly warm here, About 0c or +32F.
Last week was really odd! +15C or +60F.
Strange weather.
But in November we had some -15C or +4F...and the windchill made it colder.
We should have had some -30C and -35C by now.

Our current weather is a high of 61 F and a low of 42F. The wind factor is chilly but still nothing compared to below 0

The thought of walking into a warm house with the smells of delicious baked food appeals to me, also sliding into cold clean sheets and sleeping next to a warm body does to, but how do you do it? Driving on icy streets would terrify me and how far do the kids have to walk to school?

As a desert dweller for the majority of my life I'm trying to picture what it would be like living in a frozen wonderland.
But it is appealing non the less

Blows on Peri, Rubs her arms

*neglects to mention that my hands are freezing so it does no good, but the intention is there.

It is unseasonably mild this week. Mid January and it feels like March/April.
Ranges today~ +9/0 degrees

60 degrees here. Which is abnormal for this time of year... usually around 30 during the day in January.

I'm enjoying it though. Will make for a shorter winter.

Here's some pics of the sky I got to see today:

The images on the right are the break in the clouds. First one in over 30 days. The images on the right are more like what we're used to this time of year.
