all this time i used to pride my self of belonging to a land which i thought truley valued the importance of sex and thats its worth talking about and doing. this was because of the book - kamasutra which was written in india.

i had seen all the pictures on the web of various sex positions that kamasutra illustrates but yesterday when i read some of the chapters i was devastated.

some of the chapter on 'which women would fall easily for a man' are said to be...

->widows
->women who keep on staring at the street
->women who stand at the door too long
->women who keep their hair free (untied)
->women who gaze at men for a long time
->women who gaze men from the side
->women who talk to neighbours men
->women who gossip with females in the neighbourhood
->women who sit in the neighbours house for long time periods
->women who want to work outside home

i think it is a smart and systematic work of some f****r(s) who was (or were) not comfortable with women having any sort of independance or life for that matter. someone who thought women should be like slaves and kept tied to their bed. who should not be socially powerfull.

here is where i read all this and more... http://www.kamalove.com/

i am loosing respect for india now. either this kamasutra has been maniuplated to bring control over people or it is a work of a son of a b***h!

The subject of sex as being an integral part of love is a tricky one TheEvolution. Sex and promiscuous sex has been one of the strongest most justified topics of our generation. you are right to think that the principles behind the book are questionable, but remember that the kamasutra is just the tip of the ice berg when it comes to newly justified explicit sex material. If you think about it you see that the whole sexual revolution has been and is quite impersonal, overpowering and extremely unspiritual. Why would it be that a man or woman feels shame after a sexual act(e.g.a one night stand) when really sex or the sharing of the physical should be the highest form of the spiritual? The truth as i see it is that people act without the spiritual context involved in sex and ironically search for the spiritual within the physical, when it should be the other way around in my opinion. So questioning the context behind (so called spiritually connected literature and audio visual material) is part of the journey to recognising the ominousness of the times. Propoganda never stopped, and it never will, itīs a form of conditioning, like the nazi thing and itīs growing stronger, maybe you wonīt be able to stop it but at least you have recognised it and that in itself is a big step TheEvolution.

Best wishes
