I'm fishing for opinions. Hopefully some of you haven't heard this song, despite the fact that it's still playing on the radio. It seems to hint at some concepts in current metaphysical thinking. Got any comments?--- i'm becoming less defined

God made partners of himself a female and male form
so, basically you are never alone, someone was made for everyOne..as you lose yourself into the God Universe you are replenished not lost.. you are never alone, in essence God is within you, in every living thing..
We are all his children, we have all been paired off, so to speak, like Noah's Ark in the end we are all one and the same, but your soul is you forever, and you have a silver cord tie to god and and your mate.. there is no one unpaired, female and male, must come together in forgiveness and compromise

I was thinking more along the lines of the current quantum-mechanics problem of separating the observer from the observed.Or, in Heinlein-ese, "the world in which I exist cannot exist without me in it." Or, as I have found, it is empirically impossible to prove to oneself that one's whole life has been anything other than a long, five-sense hallucination. Sorry, it was a stupid question, anyway. I look over the lyrics now and there isn't much there to chew on. But the song gets very stuck in my head, and a few phrases stand out. Like "I just made you up to hurt myself". Maybe that's wishful thinking on my part: if all the pain I've been through at the hands of others is really of my own making, I could stop it from happening. IP: Logged | |
