For all of you who live in NEW York area or not!

Admitedly, I haven't read the link.
I am in th skin care industry.Being in this industry, and being able to skin type, I have to say... mosy women don't KNOW their skin type.
They know their skin condition and treat it like that, possibly missing the benefits of an all inclusive regimen REALLY designed for them.
So if you ask someone who has oily skin ( typified by larger pores, deeper, possibly sallow texture, 'orange-peel' type skin close up, etc... if you ask that person if she has oily skin, she might not know she does, because it is dehydrated ( condition) due to environmental factors/weather/diet etc.
So she will say, yes, it gets shiny in some areas, but it feels dry and looks dry.. so a software might recognize her type as dry, because that is what she inputs. Thereby giving her the wrong prescription.
I have no doubts that the skin care line is highly recognized and beneficial, but when you put it into someon's hands, they might be better to have help, to really identify their own needs in a realistic way. That's my thought. IP: Logged |

I was (and still am) lacking on a lot of the knowledge that women have about skin, hair, make-up, etc.  Thankful for a Leo friend of mine that dragged me along with her on her beauty escapades.  I have weird skin. Like pixie mentioned, I assumed I had a certain type of skin... after actually talking with a qualified person, I discovered I was completely wrong. I was always the one that would wake-up, throw on the least amount of make-up, no moisturizing (always thought it took up too much time)  Now that I'm in my later 20's, I'm more mindful of those things. Still the hair thing ... (eeesshh) I'm sort of glad I have curly hair. Less fuss I wasn't gifted with a large amount of patience in this area.
