I posted this on my MySpace acount. I figured I might as well share something with friends. Since You guys are friends too, and many of you are outside of the states..I thought you might like it too....

I HAVE GOT A SECRET FOR THOSE THAT REALLY WANT TO KNOW
Body: I reside in Utah...thats no secret...lol. I hate the radio stations here, they suck!! just four years ago, I could not find one station that would play Neo Soul artist Maxwell...but the day before yesterday I heard him on the smooth Jazz station...why did it take so long for some idiot to find out that he was a great singer?

This place Evolves so slow...because of the unknown powers that behold above. I have noticed though, the more they try to hold back, the faster the can pops open; Then its out of control totally, then there is no control, but Chasis.

Yesterday during MY NAME IS EARL...there was a mini Commercial for the news, it stated, "Tonight at 10-what you should know about this number-420, find out what your child may not want you to know."

Now I think most parents with any sense KNOW what 420 means...they have heard it, but not here..NOPE, they really wouldnt know what it meant. So the news keeps them up to par on many things with a little BLOWN UP paranoia. Of course the kids sitting next to the television also: "COOL THATS WHAT 420 MEANS, WAIT TILL 420 Tomorrow...JOHNNY AND AI ARE GOING TO GET HIGH HIGH HIGH!!!!"

LOL...see what a mean..a exploding can of CHAOS!!! BOOM!!!

anyhow, The music thing...I can't listen to the stations here, idiot DJs, they all have that UTAH DRY Humor...the Napolean Dynamite one..they wouldnt make it in other big cities...though they might be praying to get out of here anyway. lol

Well I can't stand it. So heres my secret:

THIS IS MY STATION: WXRT 93.1 FM

NOW....
for those of you that like the rap, britney spears, fast paced..sorry this isnt the station for you...but if you want to learn about other music, great artist...well this is the place.

This station has been around for decades..and the Jocks on here, well they have been too, they have a grasp on music thats good. I am not saying that Rap and such isnt, but some music is for others and their are radio stations for that...and they are not going anywhere, they are here to stay.

I am talking about Music that you don't hear as much as you would like to, for instance, everyday XRT has a featured group. Today it's THE CURE AND VAN MORRISON, all day between other good music, you'll here these artist. They played "Tales Of Brave Ulysses" by Cream...now for you younglings..Cream was a three man band composed of Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker, these guys were great, but they fought over who should write the songs...and do this was their demise...I guess that was a good thing, because later great music was formed from their break-up.

This station just rocks with great music...For you U2 fans...My Girl JOY....you might get to hear some old U2..really old U2, from OCTOBER OR BOY...not just the new stuff.

Its just a great station and I dont think anyone that really likes Rock and such,,indie, alternative...you will love it because they know what they are doing!!!! NO more Radio stations that are good in your town and then *POOF* , they are gone and everyone is asking the same question "WHY DID THEY LEAVE, IT WAS SUCH A GOOD STATION" I know you have done that, because I use to do it all the time here in this damn state.

On XRT, you hear the finest music, just good music. I really can't explain it...Does anyone know Rachel yamagata..Chicago Local...? got her songs played on XRT...I know the women know her...the song Worn Down?
http://www.myspace.com/rachaelyamagata

This is one of the reason I love to call Chicago my first Home, we just got it going on..lol.

Anyhow, I thought it time to just share with my friends a good secret...I get to listen to it live all day....and if your at work with computer and speaker, or at home...WHY in the hell cant you enjoy it too!!!

Check it out
http://www.93xrt.com/

if you have problems listening to it live, let me know...sometimes there is a folder from windows that stops it, because its a aol thing.

PEACE and GOOD TIDINGS to YOU this weekend.

Time for some Van Morrison......

Here's my local station: www.live105.com

They're ok.

My ultimate dream station would play all the alternative music from the last 30 years. That would be awesome. I'd probably take out the harder ROCK alternative type bands (not that I hate them or anything) in favor of the traditional alternative sound. I can do without Tool and System of a Down.
