Hiya!
We can't call you tink, as there is already a good one here.
( Just don't smooch her, it makes her uncomfortable)
And I am a pixie, and we have another pixie, and then more too.. and we'll probably have more, just cuz we're so damn cool.
Welcome, spirited pixie.
Yes, quite a few knowledgeable knowflakes here... if you look around and stick around, you'll be amazed at how much you will learn if you choose, as well.

We have a dream forum, called Astral Realms, with an amazing dream interpreter at the helm, who is humble yet brilliant and makes us all have cyber-crushes on him.
He has Leo rising though, so he secretly likes it.

Explore, look around.
Have fun, post, be kind, and willing to share.

Interesting.

PixelPixie is a Scorpio sun, and TINK is also a Scorpio Sun.

Are you as well?

I was looking for a card for my best friend's birthday (Taurus, of course [married to a Capricorn]). There are absolutely tons of terrible birthday cards out there.

The good ones remind me of you, though. You would make a terrific card writer.

AG, you know that I adore you..
I pursued that avenue last year.. bought meager software, painted cards with all sorts of different themes, wrote a lot....contacted a supplier, all that... then I abandonned it.....

It is still in my mind, but I am doing other things right now.. but as many things, I will eagerly pick it up again when it calls to me.
Thank you for your belief though, it warmed me.
*hugs*

I'm watching Something's Got to Give on TV, and now I'm wondering if the writer's into Astrology.

Diane Keaton's character asks Jack Nickelson's character what his birthday is, and he says it's in February to which she replies that hers is in January. She tries to make a deal with him to go to Paris together if they still know one another around their birthdays.

Diane Keaton's character plays the best female playright in the country. She starts the movie tremendously uptight, but fair. When her and Jack get together and have sex she declares her surprise that she really loves sex.

Jack's character is a self-made man who's started a couple record companies. He starts the movie playing an old playboy. He starts to fall for Diane, but he has trouble with being close/intimate with her.

It's interesting.

I saw that on, AG. Didn't watch it, but I've heard it's good. Jack Nickelson (not sure how to spell that) is one of those great actors.

I liked him in The Shining.

Yeah, he's great.

Pix,

I'm not sure how to read that. Sounds like you're trying to let me down easy.

I'm the king of having too many interests, so of course I know how it goes. You won't get any judgment from me. I just think you'd be great at it. Actually, I'd go so far as to say that I KNOW you'd be great at it. Maybe if you're inclined you could casually pursue doing it freelance.

quote:

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, at least 210 salaried employees wrote and designed for greeting card companies in 1999; they earned an average of $36,620. Many more greeting card writers worked as freelancers, self-employed workers who sold their work to greeting card publishers for a fee. The Bureau does not have data on these writers. But according to industry sources, most work part time and earn an average of about $60 a card. Larger companies pay between $100 and $150 a card. http://www.bls.gov/opub/ooq/2001/fall/yawhat.htm

Just trying to be helpful.
