I have slightly odd question. If I block someone's email and they send me an email, do they know they have now been blocked? Do they get a message saying their email was blocked? And conversely, if I have been blocked would I be informed of such...

Hard to say for sure because all email programs are different, Lilygirl.

I use Outlook email and I can't completely block a sender. It just goes to my deleted box instead of my inbox. If I just empty my deleted box without looking I never know the email is there but I have always double checked before emptying just in case I deleted something by mistake so blocking does me no good.

Normally, the person only gets a non-deliverable message but I would think that after getting enough of those the person you have blocked would give up sending emails to your box.

You can always change your email address though and then it is no problem at all because the other person would not know your new email address. I do that once in a while anyway because through forwards my email address gets circulated around the net.

Hope this helps some.

Mirandee ~

You wrote: "through forwards my email address gets circulated around the net."

You can't do anything about it when friends have emailed you globally along with tons of other people. But you CAN use, and let them know how to use "BCC" the Blind Carbon Copy. When you are sending a funnygram to a bunch of people, list them all in the BCC address section instead of the TO or CC section. That way none of them can see the others' names/addresses.
